1. What are your thoughts about this class?
This class is hard but can be easy if you study notes, do your homework, and pay attention in class.
It challenges me but it makes me learn and grow.
I have learned a lot even though some topics are difficult to understand the concept.
It teaches a wide range.
I enjoy learning about different ways to go about different problems and equations.
I think that this class is pleasant and I can learn easily. However, at times I feel like the teaching can be a little too fast.
Geometry is quite an interesting course and in my opinion is way harder than algebra 1. There are many details that you need to carefully analyze in geometry.
I believe this class has prepared me very well for high school and for the STAAR test.
Learning a lot, able to understand most of the stuff.
I really enjoy this class, but I don’t think I understand the last lessons that we learned, and so I failed to perform well on the CA#4.
I feel like sometimes we have tests and quizzes very often and it doesn’t give us time to assimilate the information and practice enough to a point where we are comfortable with the lesson.
Your class has been great and I am very happy it is this one and not a different one with a different teacher.
I think geometry class this year was really informative and I definitely learned a lot. The lessons were pretty hard but I was able to master most of it.
I think your algebra class is very rigorous and occasionally stressful, but I think it has successfully prepared me for high school.

The notes are helpful but sometimes I don't understand them. I haven't learned a lot from this class but I have trouble connecting two lessons. I think delta Math was very helpful but a little confusing. When I was confused on the lesson for the class I would look at khan Academy and it would be very helpful.
The notes are very helpful, but sometimes there are examples in our work that is not on the notes. I have learned a lot and I have found the probability lesson is the most challenging as we didn’t have much practice on it or understand it enough to apply to other math problems. I found congruency very enjoyable.
Your notes are very helpful for me because they outline the formulas in a clear way which is all I really need to succeed. The hardest content is was probably the circles because of all of the things I had to memorize but they made it my most enjoyable content area.
I think having all the notes online and available makes everything a lot easier because I don't have to take notes or try to look for them. I learned a lot this year. The challenging things were the 3D shapes and surface area/volume. The fun stuff was trigonometry and coordinate geometry.
Your notes are very helpful when I do not understand my assignments. The most challenging consent for me is quadratic equations. I have learned to continue learning and trying to understand algebra. I find exponents the most enjoyable part of class.
I often find myself looking back at previous notes to get a refresher on the content. I have learned many equations and "tricks" that are more efficient. I think the most challenging to me are word problems, because they confuse me a lot. I like straight-forward problems to solve.
The notes were really helpful because there were solved examples. I found trigonometry the most challenging but as I got used to it, solving trigonometry problems became easier. I found basically all the rest of the topics enjoyable but I had a bit of trouble with probability.

Yes - Geometry - Certain logical things just don’t click - Angle measures.
Yes, they are helpful, although are confusing at times. In class, we have discussions over the notes, and often myself and my peers forget certain points, but they aren't on the notes. Other than that they have many helpful bits of information, and work well. I find sequences and exponents challenging, but I enjoy quadratic functions and multi-step equations. I also like systems of equations.
Doing anything related to circles such as the tangents and inscribed angles. I also struggled with proofs for a while. Both of these subjects Im not the strongest in. I felt that the last couple of lessons were most enjoyable just because it was wrapping up our curriculum.

The notes can be helpful but they’re a bit wordy, which can be good because it’s more detail but it makes it difficult to read in a way. I’ve learned to go over notes before a test. The most difficult thing for me to grasp is proofs. I enjoy circles the most.
Yes, the notes are probably the reason I'm passing. I learned proofs, theorems, trigonometry, and radians.
Sometimes the notes are confusing because they have a lot of information and can be overwhelming, but they were a good resource to have. The most challenging thing for me was permutations and combinations. The most enjoyable was SAS, SSS, ASA, and AAS in triangles to prove their congruency.
The notes have been very helpful, especially to study. I have learned about 3 dimensional shapes and 2 dimensional shapes, as well as angles. The most challenging area for me was rotations of a figure on a graph. The most enjoyable area for me was either proofs of triangles or learning sin, cos, and tan for right triangles.
Yes, I feel like we should go over the work a little more. I have learned much more than I did last year, the most challenging area was the trigonometry. My favorite was doing sectors and tangents.
Yes, notes are helpful. I have learned many things, to many to list. I have most struggled with trigonometry and proofs, and I found area and volume of shapes most enjoyable.
Yes, the notes are very helpful for studying. I have learned to get better at studying and that practice makes perfect. I found that proofs are very challenging, but I really enjoyed learning about shapes and formulas like Pythagorean theorem.
I would say that the notes are helpful, especially the word problems. I would say that I have learned a few important skills, such as communication, understanding the importance of things, and obviously quite the amount of curriculum. Probably the Olympiad questions, I can never seem to completely understand them. I would say constructing figures were interesting, especially because I had never done anything like that before.
Yes, I've basically learned the most basics of algebra. I think sequences and quadratic functions are the hardest, I enjoyed exponential functions and polynomials most.
The notes are a bit helpful and I didn't really retain that much from this class because everything is really challenging. There is nothing that I find interesting about this class.
The notes are very helpful since I can easily review them. I have properly learned the material as well as improved my time management skills to keep up with the workload. I found chords, sectors, arcs, radians, and proofs the most challenging. The most enjoyable lessons to me were the ones about volume and surface area. The content area I found most challenging was exponents, specifically rational and fractional exponents. The content area I found most enjoyable would have to be polynomials and factoring, because I enjoy factoring, it's very fun.
The notes are very helpful. The number of small details and examples really help me with concepts along with outside resources like khan academy. I have learned a lot from areas and volume of shapes to different ways to describe how angles are related to each other. My most difficult part of this class would be circles. I find that i enjoy parallel lines and angles along with calculating the area of shapes.
YES!!! The notes are so helpful. I have learned how to ask for help when I need it and how to make sure I fully understand a concept before moving on. I don't like proofs, at all. I love probability though.
Yes, the notes are very helpful. They actually explain both the reasoning behind the formula, as well as how to solve for certain problems. I find proofs to be the most difficult, and I enjoy working with shapes (arcs, tangents, etc.)
I learned a lot from the notes and find them very useful and pretty easy to understand I also think they are organized in a very convenient way. I learned a lot about algebra and math in general and I found a lot of parts in it enjoyable like functions and formulas and I think my favorite part is probably factoring, exponents, and equations/inequalities. As far as what was challenging, I had to revisit sequences and a little bit on exponential growth but I think overall it made sense to me.
The notes are helpful in reviewing for tests and quizzes. I have learned about not only algebra but how to prepare for tests on my own and how to feel ready for quizzes and tests. I found exponents most challenging and polynomials most enjoyable.
Yes, and I've learned a lot about shapes and probability. I enjoyed all the content. The notes are very helpful, although content wise could be summarized/shortened at the end. Aside from more math knowledge, I have also learned how to manage my time and efficiency better. I found the probability area to be the most challenging. I found the circle sector areas/chords unit to be the most enjoyable, although that might just be because I like circles.
I think the notes are very helpful because it allows students to go back and see what they might not know. I learned about the figures in graphs and planes, angles, polygons, side lengths, angle lengths, probability, proofs, 2d and 3d geometric figures, how to find the volume, area, and surface area of said figures, transformations in graphs, similarities, ratios, different types of triangles, sin, tan, and cos, conditional statements, and reasoning. I also learned the importance of better managing my time, contacting my teacher if I need help, and checking the reminders and notifications teachers send out. The content area I found most challenging was the probability and frequency. The content area I found most enjoyable was the transformations in graphs.
They are helpful, if they are easier to locate. I won't remember the exact homework we covered this topic on, so it would be nice if there was a folder with notes, organized by topic such as "Surface area and volume", or "Probability". I organized my knowledge about probability, which was the most challenging. The most enjoyable was when we learned about math logic.
Yes; everything I am required to know, and how to study better; Sequences; Quadratic Functions.
From my experience, I personally believe the notes were very beneficial towards my understanding for a concept. Whenever I studied for exams and quizzes, I also used the notes as a refresher and through the notes I generally achieve full scores on exams and quizzes. In general, I learned Algebra 1 in class, however, the class also taught me time-management and taught me how to get out of procrastination. I believe the hardest concept for me was chapter 5 (radicals) and I believe the most enjoying content was quadratic functions.
The notes are very helpful. If I ever need to go back to relearn something I didn't get in class, the notes explain very well. I sometimes have problems memorizing things, so they help to refresh my memory. I disliked the compass constructions the most or proofs, and I enjoyed things like probability and composite figures.
Yes, your notes are very helpful! This class has taught me more about mathematical proofs and has provided me a foundational understanding of geometry. I thought that the beginning lessons that dealt with conditional statements and provided the fundamental concepts in geometry were the most challenging, and I thought our work with proofs to be the most interesting.
I find the notes very helpful where I can look back at the examples if I don’t understand. I have learned mainly about similarity, congruence, triangles, trigonometry, circles, arcs, and sequences. I found the lesson about radians and circles most challenging. The most enjoyable content I liked were the different types of angles and surface area/volume of objects.
Yes, everything is helpful and nothing was challenging. I found nothing super enjoyable though because I was often tired but math isn't really fun to start with, at least learning it.
Yes. I have learned algebra. the most challenging was definitely sequences and the most enjoyable was linear equations.
The notes are helpful and I've learned a lot of algebra concepts and strategies. I find many parts challenging, one of the parts I find challenging is the attaching quadratic equations to graphs. The part I've found most enjoyable is solving linear equations because it's the easiest.

The notes are helpful because you can look back at them. I have learned many areas of geometry in this class. The challenging topic for me was proofs. An enjoyable area for me was volume and surface area.
Your notes are very helpful and I can understand the lesson easily from home. I really liked when we learned about spherical geometry.
I liked the probability topic a lot. The notes are very helpful when studying especially on topics I don’t understand well like proofs.
The notes are very helpful because they allow me to be able to understand a topic if I wasn't there in class and the example problems teach me how to apply the notes. I have learned not to procrastinate and to stay organized because it will help me stay on top of my assignments. The content area that I found most challenging was probability because you have to know the formulas and when to apply them. The content area that I found most enjoyable was learning about scale factor and when to use perimeter, area and volume scale factor.
Proofs are a bit hard for me but I enjoy the 3D volume of shapes.
The notes are very helpful and as I found out later into the year, they improve my quiz grades. I found that finding time to study was hard because we had so many tests coming at the same time for CA4.
Mr. Le's notes are really helpful for anytime i forget something important I can always look back and find it. The most challenging for me is probably exponential functions. I enjoy Linear functions the most in Algebra.
Yes, the notes are helpful. Often when I seem to be confused on certain topics, I look back through the notes to find a similar question. I have learned how to study more efficiently. I found probability and proofs most confusing and I enjoyed inverse, converse, and contrapositive of conditional statements most enjoyable. I also enjoyed simple trig ratios. It was interesting.
The notes are very helpful to me. I have learned many geometry concepts from this class, as well some time management skills and to work smart and hard. I found probability a lot more challenging than the other topics. I found circles to be very enjoyable. They are very helpful. I learned many Geometry topics. I also learned to work hard. I found many content areas challenging like spherical geometry, proofs, and permutations and combinations. There were also enjoyable areas like experimental and theoretical probability.
Yes, they are helpful. i enjoyed anything to do with finding a missing angle, though was not a fan of proof or most things to do with circles.
Your notes are very helpful. It is easy to find them after the lesson to study them. They are also very useful and well organized. I have learned a lot from this class, but I found that I didn't understand the arcs of a circle and the proofs that well. I really enjoyed the Soh Cah Toa and the volume/area of shapes lessons.
They are helpful although I feel like there is a lot of information in some slides.
Yes. I have learned many geometry concepts and how to persevere. Probability was the most challenging for me. Volume was the most enjoyable.
They often come in handy. I learned about organizational skills and many different parts of mathematics. i found learning how to use a calculator most enjoyable.
The notes help me and I like how I can solve problems with other classmates.
3. Where are you now versus where you started? What you think went well and what you could have done better?
I think I am smarter than I was in the beginning of the year not only because I learned more but because of the notes I studied.
I am much better at going through steps and solving problems.
I think I have learned and improved a lot with studying and taking tests. I have been improving at taking quizzes and preparing for them beforehand, but I still think I could’ve done better at studying the notes.
I understand a lot more that when the class started. Delta math had been useful. Many difficulties were resolved later in the year.
I have come a long way since the beginning of the year. I think i have become better on tests and better at studying the notes but I would have liked to have done better on some quizzes.
I have most definitely learned more than I did in the beginning. What went well were all my test and quiz scores. I could have not procrastinated on the homework more.
I have definitely gained more geometry knowledge and math knowledge in general. Expanding my perspectives in math went really well and I think I could have improved on my studying habits a bit more.
I have learned a lot and I believe I have improved from where I started. I believe I have done well overall in the class; however, I believe I could have done better on the tests/quizzes.
I had no idea about anything about algebra. Now at this point I feel as if I have nothing left to learn think that I am very confused on what we studied for the CA#4: Quadratic Functions and Exponential Functions.
I feel like I am better than I was at the beginning of the year. I am very comfortable on the lessons we learned at the beginning of the year. I need to do better on understanding the latest material and master that.
I just have more knowledge about geometry than when I started. Everything went well and I don’t really have regrets.
I think I have improved a lot over the year. I procrastinated on studying and homework sometimes and I think I could have fixed that.
I think I have learned a lot and gotten much better at algebra. I think I could have really locked in and put all of my energy into the early tests to build my confidence.
I made so many improvements since the beginning of the year. I feel like I could have taken advantage of the notes earlier on, and I have only recently appreciated the information in the notes which I am starting to use more.
In the beginning of the year, I didn't have a good foundation on my math and I was unfamiliar with some topics but throughout the year I've had to use my knowledge and strengthen my skills.
I think that i should have worked harder especially on the last couple of topics because i have been struggling in geometry lately.
I am much better than before. i think i have mastered all of the algebra topics.
I know a lot more about algebra. I think that I was able to stay on task, but I think that I could have done better on some quizzes.
Before I knew nothing about geometry and now, I do. Just kidding! I am more confident in my abilities to learn complex math now. I think my overall test taking skills improved but I could have done a better job paying attention at some points.
I know more now. I did a good job keeping up with work. I could’ve studied more for assessments.
I am a lot further from where I started. I think I picked up things well after making mistakes and asking questions, but I wish I had taken more time to try and understand areas I was still confused on.
I feel that I’m a lot stronger in math then i was in the beginning. I know and understand a lot more than just the basics.
I have learned so much since the beginning of the year.
I learned a lot. I think I could have done better on some of the quizzes.
I definitely know a lot more about geometry than I did at the beginning of the year, I think learning things as a whole went really well. But I do wish I had done a little better on some assessments.
I think I have definitely improved from the beginning of the year. I think if I knew some of the studying strategies that I know now, they could’ve been useful and I could’ve done better.
I am a lot better at math. I think I've done well learning but could have done better on CA4 and midterm.
I think learned a lot this year, but I could have done better on the tests and quizzes.
I started not understanding much, but through studying more and paying attention in class, I feel like I have greatly improved. I think I understood lessons in class very well, but I could've done better studying at home.
I feel like I have improved so much, and I wish I could have more time to go over the notes.
I am way better educated than before. I think a lot of things went well; I could have studied more on certain topics.
I feel a lot better now, and I am glad that I learned to study the note because the criteria is getting harder meaning I need to study more. I feel I could've been more organized. There were times I forgot to do my Delta Math and it's because I was not writing down all of my homework.
I do think I have improved from where I was in the beginning. What went well was the fact that my classmates were always patient with me. I think that that behavior kind of rubbed off on me and made me better as a person. What I could have done better was build good habits earlier. I am just now realizing that some of my habits are not the best, however I am realizing where I went wrong and I am actively working on it.
I didn't even know how to calculate the slope before class but I feel very comfortable with everything I've learned. I think everything about this class was everything went well for me.
I haven't really gotten much better because I am still failing my tests in this class. I think getting a tutor will help.
I think I have improved a lot compared to when I started this class. I put in a lot of effort for this class and I think that was a good idea, however looking back I could've put more effort into studying and making sure I completely understood the lesson.
I think I'm a lot better from where I started this year. I performed better in classes and on tests this year than previous years, so I think that went well. I also understood the topics easier and got more responsible with studying. Some things I could've done better would be reviewing topics I struggle with more and practicing them until I feel more confident, as I didn't really start doing it until more recently.
I think that now i am in a much better position than i was at the beginning of the year. The only thing that i think i should have done was do as much extra credit as possible.
I am a lot better at problem solving and communicating what help i need with my teacher and peers.
I think I have done pretty well with a high average, and I haven't failed any assignments at all. I think I could have done better on CA#4.
I've learned a lot but I feel like if I studied more I could have so much more progress.
I think I definingly saw improvement in my understanding of math as a whole because everything seems much easier to understand and to actually know what it is and be able to explain it to other people, so I would say that I learned math in a deeper level of understanding and that went pretty well. But I also think that I could have done better as far as assignments and time management go but I do think that I improved on that closer to the end of the year.
I was not prepared for the CA#1 and I got a 70. I think I could've expected more instead of just hoping for a passing grade.
I am much more knowledgeable compared to before, and I think I should have studied the notes more seriously.
Now, I'm more structured in how I do my work and when, I also have more knowledge on geometry than when I started. I think I did a good job finishing and checking my work seriously, but I could have studies concepts more thoroughly.
Right now, I try to study sometimes and I make sure to manage my time so I don't waste time doing unnecessary things. I used to hate studying and would rather play games instead of doing work. I think that I was able to do good inside of the class but I would have wanted to do more extra credit.
Not too much, however I reinforced many concepts I had learned before, especially with probability.
When I started, I was already 12 weeks behind, and I was struggling but determined to learn everything, and now I would say I have learned everything. It went well, however, I could have been better on being more "on it" when it comes to Math.
I believe in the beginning of the school year I was very unorganized. I would procrastinate my work and I remember doing entire packets within a night prior to the due date. Right now, because of my time management skills, school work doesn't add any stress onto my life. I manage to finish everything efficiently while being able to sleep early. Overall, I believe Algebra 1 allowed me to get out of procrastination and really improve my time-management, however, I believe I wish I studied during the summer. Something I plan on achieving during the summer is to continue practicing my skills I have gained during school in order to be prepared prior to the school year.
I have learned a lot this year and gained many skills. I think that overall, most went well, but I could've managed my time better on the work.
Compared to the beginning of the school year, I would say that I am much more confident in myself and much more skilled in learning new information. I think I could have used these skills more at the beginning of the year, when I needed them most, and I could have developed them faster.
Versus where I started, I have improved a lot and challenged myself farther every class. I think I studied the notes very well, but I feel I could’ve put more effort before taking quizzes and tests.
I learned way more this year than any other year but i could’ve learned so much more.
I’m a lot smarter now since i know more things and i have learned throughout the year. i think what went well was using my time wisely.
I think I'm understanding the material a lot better now than when I first started algebra. I did good at picking up new concepts, but I could have done better at keeping up with old concepts.
I am better than I was from the beginning of the year. I think my overall learning went well however I wished I focused and studied more.
I am able to solve more complicated math problems and I think I could have studied the notes more.
When I first started, I didn't really understand math but now I think I'm pretty decent at it. I think me learning how to focus more and not get distracted really went well this year but I probably should've made myself a schedule so that things could have been finished faster and more efficiently.
I'm a lot smarter, i could've paid better attention.
I know lots about Geometry and I feel I have grown as a student. I could've tried more practice questions for the tests.
I began this year very un-prepared and although I'm still getting better, I think I've come a long way from where I began. Throughout this year I think that my communication skills have improved and getting help was a big thing for me. I could've and still can study more!
I am way better then where I started from. I think learning the material went well. I think I could have remembered the material and studied better.
I am much more confident in class. I think I could study a little bit more but like how I did my classwork.
I have learned a lot and if I could change something it would be to study more for tests.
I feel as though I am a better organizer than I was at the beginning of the year. I now have a system on how I can prepare for assessments and quizzes. I now also use a checklist to help me keep up with my assignments. I think that I could've done a better job of preparing more in advance to tests/quizzes so that I will get a better grade on those assessments.
I could do better on arcs and circles but most things went well.
I felt like learning in the class was fun and challenging. Great Year overall.
I feel I have improved a lot. I could have studied harder from the beginning and i would've improved a lot more.
For a long time, this year, I did not study properly, so I was failing a lot in this class. But now that I have learned how to study better, I believe that I can get better grades and do well in this class.
I am better now than where I started because my math knowledge has grown, and I have gotten lots of experience in managing my work. I think completing my assignments and learning in class went pretty well. I could have done less procrastinating though.
At first, I only knew a few geometry topics, now I know many. I think I got very good grades, but I could have gotten better grades and procrastinated less.
I believe i could have been more proactive and could have taken the class more seriously. though at least i have learned that.
I think that I could have studied more at the beginning of the year, but I have learned a lot from this class.
I think I have gotten better; I think what went better is my studying schedule although sometimes I procrastinate a lot.
I have a more complete understanding of math. I think doing my work and studying new concepts went well, but I could’ve done better on my recent tests/quizzes.
I am much more organized.
At the beginning I didn’t really know much, now I feel like I learned a lot.
4. What are the most important insights you have gained over the course of this school year?
I have learned that I should study a lot more than I do to get even better grades because math is only going to get harder from this point on.
The formulas on a calculator.
I have learned that procrastination always leads to bad results, studying and paying attention in class is crucial, and being organized will help things a lot!
I was able to regain a productive work ethic.
To study the notes seriously.
I think the most important insight I have gained is that I have to pay real close attention while getting taught so I could be the most successful.
I have gained the insight that math takes a lot of analyzing and requires higher level thinking especially in areas like geometry. Seeing things with a different perspective is also necessary.
I have learned not to procrastinate, as that impacts performance. I have also learned about time management and how helpful it can be to finish work as it is assigned.
I learned to manage my time very well. This class really helped with my time management.
I think to always ask for help even if you are scared or you don’t understand something because if you don't you won’t understand in the future.
I learned how to study for a math test and quiz and how to find material to practice.
The most important insight I have gained over the course of this year is that I learn really quick if I have the right material to teach me.
I learned that if I am not strict with myself, I will slack off and forget tasks.
I learned that I can continue to learn and develop even in troubling circumstances.
I feel like this course has given me a taste of what high school is like.
I think that I've learned how to manage my time more wisely as I had more homework, I also learned not to procrastinate and to focus more time onto studying.
Not to procrastinate. The test will be harder than i think it’s will be.
I learned a lot of things that i didn’t understand from math 7 in and i also like to think i mastered algebra.
I learned the importance of keeping track of assignments.
That even if you don’t understand it in class, you can learn it with the notes.
How to calculate the area of a sector.
Time management and motivation. Math is hard, and often I don't want to take the time to practice. However, when I do, things always turn out better for me.
It is to not worry about what others think. It is to not go with a full plan cause there's no fun in that. The last thing is live the year to the fullest.
I have learned 8th grade math and geometry.
To always study before any type of test, and to ask questions before I get a really bad misconception.
The most important insights I've gained over this year is to expect the unexpected and to be prepared for every possible outcome.
How much more I needed to learn about more advanced math.
The more time you spend making sure you understand each homework, the better you will do on the tests/quizzes.
I have learned how to study better and be a better test taker to get better scores on tests, assessments, and quizzes.
I have built a better study plan.
How to study correctly.
I learned how to study because when the criteria that you are learning gets harder, it takes longer to learn.
Believe in yourself, take your time and more study => more points => more happiness, using the law of syllogism, more studying => more happiness.
I think it is to be patient and find different solutions to the same problem.
I have learned how to properly apply myself to learning, and how much time and effort pays off.
Some of the most important insights I have gained are the insights of the importance of understanding topics (so you know how to apply them and will remember), the importance of studying and review (I performed a lot better when I studied more for the topic), and good time management (reduced stress, easier to complete work and higher grades because you do assignments on time).
I think that this class has given me insight on how high school classes will work and i think this will help me next year in high school. This class also showed me the importance of doing the extra credit because sometimes, a few points can determine the difference between passing and failing, and the extra credit can often be those few points.
I now know how to communicate with a teacher about getting help or re-teaching a concept.
Studying is important and it really does help if you do it well and before your test.
I have had no important insights.
I learned to better understand math as a concept and how to apply math to real life situations. I also learned a lot of life skills in productivity and how to organize myself to become successful.

How to plan my time efficiently to get homework done on time.
Efficiency, accuracy, and geometry.
I now understand the importance of seizing all the opportunities possible to increase my chance of doing better than other people.
Study the note seriously, and do my work seriously.
Learning how to work more effectively.
Over the year I learned the importance of not procrastinating. I believe the school year gave me an insight to how high school may feel like, in which, also gave me an insight of what it is like to have a similar work load as my dad. I believe this work load strengthened me because now I can complete hours of work all in the morning, thus, saving me the rest of my weekend. Other than that, I learned how students behave and I believe I learned how to stay away from students who show a bad influence.
Content that may seem difficult can be made simple by paying attention to lessons.
Over this school year, I've learned how to be more conscious of the way I arrive at a conclusion and how to complete homework faster.
The most important insights I have gained over this year are being responsible, principle about my work, mindful of deadlines, and effort/working hard.
Everything in class will be on future tests so pay attention.
I have gained responsibility and ownership so if I need to change something it’s my responsibility not my parent’s.

I have learned to work hard and the dangers of procrastination.
I have learned how to do manage my time so I can make sure that I know the content and get my work done efficiently.
I got better at studying by myself efficiently.
I learned about proofs which, although general, was the most important thing that i have learned how to do.
How to be disciplined and be an active listener in class.
Always look at notes/take notes, do your homework right when you get it (Don't procrastinate!), make a to-do list, and always ask for help when you need it.
I have learned how to study better over this course.
I got insight on life lessons like not procrastinating and studying.
I have learned how to study more efficiently.
I have learned not to be a procrastinator because it will cause you to have to do all of your work at once. This could cause you to rush through your work and your work could possibly end up not being the best quality. I have also learned to read problems carefully when working through them. If you don't, you could look over an important part of a problem which could result in you getting the question wrong.
I have learned a lot about geometry and I have been refreshed in algebra too.
That materials like notes are helpful when you don't understand something.
I would say to keep up with your assignments and stay on task.
I have learned that I need to study more efficiently. If I have understood a concept and have learned it the first time, I don't really need to study all that much. This year has taught me to not waste time and ask for help when I need it. I should stop being scared to try, even if I get it wrong. I should be able to master concepts that are taught in class. I know that it is possible.
Some of the most important insights that I have gained are that the more I involve myself in a subject, the more I can connect it to the real world. In addition, I have a deeper understanding of how I react to assignments.
Working hard is very important. Do not procrastinate.
The affects that late work have on your grade.
Geometry has taught me to be more organized with my notes and a bunch of important topics.

I am confident that I will, and I plan to study all of the notes and old tests we have taken to prepare myself for what questions may be asked.
I am very confident that I will get a Masters level on the STAAR. To obtain this goal I will use all the resources given.
Yes, I have to keep studying though.
Yes, I am pretty confident that I will get masters or at least that is my goal. I will make sure to study and look over previous STAAR tests to make sure I know all of the criteria.
Most certainly a Masters, and I think if I make the most of the four hours that are given to us, I think I have a real shot at getting a 100. My plan of action is study, take my time and get plenty of rest before the exam.
I'm not that confident that I'll get a perfect score but I'll make use of the time I have and recheck every answer with different method to get the correct answer.
I think I will because I got a 100 on the Mock STAAR. I am planning on practicing STAAR Review for the STAAR.

I am relatively confident I will at least score at Masters level on the STAAR, I will study the STAAR countdown packets we have completed as well as the practice STAAR tests on the website emailed to us.
I am confident because I have been doing well on the STAAR countdowns you have given us. I will review every question on the STAAR countdowns so I can understand everything that will be asked on the test.
Masters easily, perfect score of course would be tougher, but can be obtained with extremely cautious checking. I plan to do some past STAARs.
Yes; continue to study and work.
I believe I can achieve a full score on the STAAR exam because of two mock STAARs I took. As my action plan I plan on continuing my study habits and continue studying Mr. Le's notes and classwork. I believe through this I can achieve a full score on the STAAR exam.
I am confident that I will get a Masters level on the STAAR, as I have already learned the things that would be on the test (8th grade math). However, to get a perfect score as I did on the practice, I have to check over each answer and make sure it is correct.
I am confident that I will get a perfect score on the 8th grade STAAR and I am certain that I will achieve mastery. In order to prepare, I will use the STAARs from previous years that you have shared with us and do any work you give to prepare us for the test.
I am confident that I will get a perfect or Masters level on the STAAR this year. My action plan to obtain this is to take and study the previous released practice tests from the other years.

I am pretty confident I will obtain a masters level on the STAAR. I will use the STAAR countdown worksheets as study guides.
I am very confident that I will get a 100.
I hope to get masters by doing all of the STAAR countdowns seriously.
I am confident that I will get a perfect score on the STAAR 2022. To prepare, I need to make sure that I review all STAAR concepts prior to the STAAR and I need to complete extra practice problems located in teams. Additionally, if I take my time on the STAAR test and check my work, I will get a perfect score on the STAAR 2022.
I think I will get a masters level, and I will study very hard to get it.
Yes, the practice star was easy.
Yes, I am extremely confident I will get masters level on the STAAR. I just plan to study a lot.
I am confident I will get at least a mastery level on the STAAR 2022. My action plan is to take STAAR Practice Reviews seriously and make sure I can point out inputs, things I do to those inputs, and then the outputs that are a result of that. Using this, I should be able to figure out how the questions might be asked and how the question writers can trick me.
On a scale of 1-10, my confidence is a 9. My plan is to review the notes and do practice problems.

Yes. I will review math 8 concepts and do the STAAR reviews.
Yes, I will. I will study hard.
I’m aiming for masters and I feel like I can do it.
6. Between Imagine Math & Delta Math, which one did you find useful? Why?
I found Delta Math more useful, because I noticed that the topics it covered, I needed more help on.
Delta math is more useful because it is more relevant to what we are learning and has quality problems for us to practice on. We can also do it more than once if we want to.
Delta Math is a lot more useful because it presents the problems and solutions in a more comprehensive and interactive way. Imagine Math gives you the choice between 4 answer choices. Delta Math allows you to truly understand the problem by interactively solving it i.e., plotting points on a graph, physically reflecting the shape.
I thought Delta Math was more useful because you can do lessons that relate to the current curriculum.
Delta math, because the problems were more challenging and engaging.
I think delta math is more useful. Delta math is more interactive, and imagine math tends to get really boring and doesn't engage the learner.
I liked Delta Math because the topics were interactive and because I actually learned from the lessons.
Delta math. Imagine math was quite annoying and delta smith had the discovery topics where you could see how the problem actually worked.
Delta math because it was harder so it taught me better
I found Delta Math more useful because it provided me with a clearer explanation.
Delta Math by far, because it was actually relevant to what we learnt and it made sense to do.
Delta math, it’s more interactive.
Delta Math was more useful. I think Imagine Math was very helpful, but the lessons were long, and tedious. Many students often gave up and just settled for the late grade for this reason. Delta Math provides easy to understand examples and isn't too long, so things stick better. You can do more lessons and not get tired as fast.
Delta math was better because it actually focused on stuff we needed and we didn’t have to go through a lot whole pathway to get to a lesson we needed.
Delta Math
Delta math because it is more on topic.
Delta Math, because it explained things a lot better.
I found Delta Math more useful because I felt some parts of Imagine Math process was unnecessary and didn’t provide good examples, however Delta Math has example problems and how to solve them.
Delta Math because it shows you your mistakes and forces you to learn.
Delta math because you can see examples of how to do the same type of problem correctly. I also like that there are only 5 questions for each concept, because we already learned them in class and only need a review.
Delta Math. It went through our whole curriculum and tied into what we were learning in class, so it helped me learn better in class.
Delta Math, Imagine Math just makes me stressed out.
Delta math, it helps me review on topics.
Delta Math, because it is quicker and helps teach you in a more influential way unlike Imagine math. I also feel like Delta math is more of what we are learning and not just random questions.
I would say Delta Math because it had such a variety of sections that you could do without having to complete the previous ones. Furthermore, it also showed us where we went wrong and how to fix our mistakes.
I find imagine math more useful because it teaches you how to do the question but I find Delta Math quicker and more enjoyable.
I find Delta math useful because it gives examples to do the problem.
Delta Math because it properly explained problems in simple terms.
I found Delta Math (more) useful, because it gave examples and showed solutions on topics. Each section also had more specific and advanced lessons, and Delta Math also lets you do the lessons again, for additional practice or if you want to understand it better.
I find both useful as practice resources, but i prefer how imagine math works and its way that it teaches subjects.
Delta math because they actually teach you and give you an explanation of why you are wrong and teach you how to fix it.
Delta Math, shorter and covered stuff we were learning.
I love Delta Math; it helps me and has actually taught me more math than I could have imagined. I prefer Delta Math over Imagine Math because Imagine Math makes me frustrated whereas Delta Math shows me examples and gives me the solution if I can't figure it out myself.
I find Delta Math at to be more useful because it feels a bit more independent and is straight forward when it comes to the topics so it gives us a chance to understand on our own and come up with solutions and methods that work well for us individually.
I find Delta Math significantly better and more useful. Because on Delta Math you can read through step-by-step solutions on how to solve the problem.
Delta Math because it actually covered some of the things we were learning.
Delta Math because you can also see example questions to help answer questions.
I think delta math is more useful because you don't have to get the question wrong to understand what to do and it doesn't have the annoying practice sections the Imagine math has.
Delta Math was better for concepts, so I think that it was more helpful.
Delta Math; I'm not sure, I just prefer it.
I believe Delta Math is the most useful. I believe Imagine Math doesn't necessarily benefit me as much as Delta Math as from my experience Imagine Math is quite boring compared to Delta Math where Delta Math is much more straightforward. In Imagine Math you have to work in several sections making it hard to keep your focus.
I would rather do Imagine Math due to me finding it easier, but Delta Math is usually more helpful in reviewing relevant content.
Personally, I think that Delta Math is more useful because it gives easy to understand questions that directly test your skill in a subject, rather than how well you read the question, like in Imagine Math, and if you get a question wrong, there is a detailed description on how to arrive at the right answer.
I found Delta Math more useful because it explains the problem accurately and provides many graphics/pictures. Delta Math also allows students to try again a certain number of times before moving on to the next lesson.
Delta math because imagine math is a long annoying process if you mess up.
Imagine math since it talks about stuff you thought us and delta math is weird methods, we haven’t ever talked about.
I found Delta Math more useful because it taught me more concepts that I was actually learning in class and because I could select the lesson I could do instead of with imagine math where you could not.
I found Delta Math more useful.
Delta Math because it was a required assignment for every week while Imagine Math was extra credit.
Delta Math because it shows you an example whenever you get it wrong/right.
Delta Math was more useful by a lot because we learned relevant math.
Delta Math, because it was more to the point.
I think Delta Math is more useful, delta math explains why you got a wrong answer wrong and tells you the correct answer while imagine math just tells you that the answer is wrong. You can also choose what lessons you want to do on Delta Math.
Delta math because it focuses on one topic and gives you examples on how to do it.
I think Delta Math is more useful because you can go back to previous lessons and the lessons are more like what we learned in class.
I like delta math because it shows you how to solve the problems, as well as being able to go back and do more problems unlike imagine math.
I found Imagine Math useful because you go through more practice problems which will allow you to better understand a topic.
Delta Math, it was more convenient.
Delta Math was better but Imagine math I prefer.
I like delta math because i like the way to corrects your mistakes and it has helped me lean a lot.
I found Delta Math more useful because Imagine Math does not correspond to what we are learning in class.
Delta Math was useful because I understand their explanations, and I can get good math practice in less time than Imagine math.
I find Delta Math useful because the lessons are shorter and get to the point.
I personally enjoyed delta math more because i found it was better at describing the questions when getting the answer wrong.
I like Delta Math more, because it doesn't feel like a test all the time. It is also way easier.
Delta Math, I feel like it has a better way of teaching.
Delta Math because I found the questions more helpful.
Delta. I find delta math more useful, i like it better and it's easier to use.
7. What do you think about my teaching strategies and philosophy? Would you like me to create the Final Study Guide to prepare for the Final Exam? If yes, when do you need it to practice?
I believe that your teaching strategies were very helpful. I would prefer there to be a final study guide, as I believe that it could help me feel more prepared for the final. I would like to start working on it a month before, as I would guess that there is a lot to cover since this study guide would cover the whole year.
I think your philosophy is correct. We do need to practice in order to be good in geometry. The thing is, I don’t feel like we have enough time to practice and assimilate the information. Other than that, I agree with your philosophy. I was wondering if you could have a final exam countdown study guide for us to practice until the final. This is just so we can have a lot of practice before the final. It can always be option for those who don’t want it, but I think it would be helpful. :)
From what I’ve seen you teach a lot better than other teachers. Personally, as someone who learns quick, the packets are a bit redundant, but nonetheless they are useful to some. The problem is that they are way too long, it doesn’t take 27 pages to teach someone some basic angle rules. As long as you have like 5-10 questions per class work + homework, everyone will understand the concepts. The homework assignments you give us are really good as they don’t take too long but they reinforce the essential concepts.
I think your teaching style was good and I liked the pace you set. I think a Final Study Guide would be really helpful. It would be best to have it as soon as possible.
I think that in the beginning of the year, it was hard for me to understand how your teaching style worked, but now that I understand it, I am very grateful that you taught me this year, because you taught me in the most efficient and effective way.
Yes, I would appreciate if we were given a study guide for the final exam. A lot of people are going to be nervous about the exam, so giving the study guide as soon as possible would be amazing.
I think we should get a final study guide to review topics from the beginning and middle of the year.
Yes. I would like it 2-3 weeks before the final exam to see for one last time everything i need help on and things i need to study.
I think if you went a little slower it would’ve been better but otherwise you taught good. yes a final study guide would be good and i would like it the second week of may.
I thought that it was good but hard. Yes, I would like you to create the Final Study Guide to prepare for the Final Exam, but I don't think that it should be very long. I need it at least three weeks before the Final exam, thank you.
I liked your strategies and philosophies, I especially enjoyed having the notes as a resource. I would greatly appreciate a Final Study Guide. I would love to have it as soon as you can make it!
Class time is organized well, sometimes lessons feel rushed however and yes, as soon as possible.
I think you are a great teacher Mr. Le! Your philosophies, although they make lots of work for us, help your students absorb the information, as well as get lots of practice. You can tell you really want us to succeed, and that's not something you can say often about teachers. I think a Final Study Guide would be perfect. Maybe a week or two in advance? It would help a lot.
I think that your teaching was ok for the most part. I wouldn’t try and cram as much material to learn in a class period. I understand that you only have so many days till review but i feel that scores could be higher if you go into detail on what subjects you teach.
Yes, I would like a study guide.
Please make a study guide and a mock final they help a lot.
Yes, I definitely want a final study guide. As soon as possible would be best.
Personally, I think you taught a little bit quickly and sometimes it was difficult to keep up. Yes, I would like a Final Study Guide. I would like to start it as soon as possible so maybe early May.
I think that we learned the lessons too quickly, and that we should spend more time learning each thing instead. I would like a study guide for the final exam, by early-mid may would be good. Also, more stuff on the study guide that is similar to questions on the test would be nice.
I think the teaching strategy was useful, as the homework and quizzes helped me prepare for the tests. For the final, I would prefer practice/mock tests, as I personally learn better from questions similar to what I will see on the test, and the best way to do that is to take old tests.
I wish you would teach a little slower, but everything has been very helpful. Yes, as soon as possible is awesome.
I think the teaching strategies are very good. Yes, please provide a final study guide. I need to have time to practice in class, and review.
I think your teaching is very good, just sometimes you teach a little too fast. Yes, please create a study guide because I want to make sure I know everything that could possibly be on it.
I would say that you may be a little fast at times, however I think that it is, for the most part, manageable. I think that the principles are beneficial to us, such as limiting your procrastination and to work hard every day. As well as being prepared, having quality shown in your work and other things that are important in life. Yes, most certainly. Probably 2 or 3 weeks before would suffice.
I think the way you teach is good but a bit too fast for students who needs more attention. Yes, I would like to have a Study Guide, I would like to practice somewhere in the middle of the cycle.
The teaching strategies are helpful. Yes, please create a final study guide maybe by next week.
I believe in the effectiveness of your teaching strategy because I always understand the material you teach us. I would appreciate it if you made a Final Study Guide. I think it would be helpful if we received the packet directly after taking the STAAR test.
I think that the teaching strategies and philosophy are very good, they helped me to understand each topic better, especially with the examples provided and practice. I would like it if the Final Study Guide was created to prepare; I think I would need it to practice the week STAAR is over, or the following week.
I like how you give us all of the notes in an organized format on teams. This allows us to review as much as we want directly from you rather than by going online which can be sometimes unreliable. I also like how you make us check our own work because it allows us to go over our questions and see why we were wrong so we can improve, rather than having the teacher check and getting the score in the gradebook and not learning anything about our mistakes.
Yes, I would like a study guide and a mock exam for the final, and please revisit triangles and circle proofs and things.
I would like a Study Guide for the Final Exam about 2-3 weeks beforehand so we have time to complete it, especially as it covers the whole Geometry class. Possibly even 1 month ahead of time.
I think your teaching strategies (and notes) work really well for me personally because it aligns well with how I like to learn, so it has been very beneficial. I think a study guide could be useful but I would like it for extra credit so it wouldn't be mandatory.
I think a final study guide would be helpful and we could have a week or two before the test to work on it.
I think your teaching strategies are very helpful in making sure students learn the material seriously. I would like for you to create the final study guide around a week after STAAR.
I think your teaching strategies have a very heavy workload but in the long run that helps a lot, and your teaching in class is easy to understand with the examples given. Yes, I would need it to practice well before the Final Exam so I can study those along with the CAs and Quizzes.
I think that your strategy of constantly reminding us to study the notes is useful because knowing the material is the best way to do well on a test. I would love a study guide for the final exam because a study guide helps me find out what I know and what I don't know. I would like it maybe 2 or 3 weeks before the test so I have time to review it carefully.
It fits for me, but I can understand why it won't fit for others. A final study guide would be great. I would like it as soon as possible.
I really enjoy your teaching. Most teachers will rely on the calculator and let the students on use the calculator, and I am much more comfortable learning on paper. I also like how you show us SLOWLY, step by step, and let us do it on your board because it teaches us if we are making a mistake. I liked having you as my math teacher. :); Yes, please; I would like it by the end of April/beginning of May.
I believe your teaching style is very easy to understand. Maybe in the beginning of the year it was harder to understand, however, into the year it became easy to understand your methods of teaching. I personally don't use all of your strategies; however, I use the majority of them and they simplify my work making it easier. In my opinion, I believe it would benefit us if you made us the Final Study Guide. I personally see study guides quite useful to refresh our memory of strategies we can use. I believe if you do make a final study guide, it would be good if you gave it in the middle of May.
I honestly think that you are a very good teacher. You make very thorough notes for us, explain everything in class well, and have physical demonstrations when necessary. I would really appreciate a Final Study Guide. It doesn't really matter when it's given out, as long as it is some time before the test.
I think your teaching style has prepared all of us for high school, and for that I am very thankful. I think everyone would appreciate a Study Guide for this year's Finals. I think that it would be wise to hand out the study guides right after the 8th grade math STAAR so that we can focus on the next upcoming test and so we don't forget the information we review before the finals.
I enjoyed how you used the notes and the examples within it in order to explain and elaborate the reasoning of the problem and answer. Yes, I would like to have a Final Study Guide to prepare for the final exam.
Your class is probably the best math class I have ever taken and I wish I could have you at Lamar. and please make a study guide for the final, any time before the final is fine.
No, I think with all the reviews we have been doing i feel like that is more pressure to finish it and to do well on the test and we should just have to prepare ourselves for the test mentally.
I think that you are a very good and effective teacher. I would like for you to create a final study guide for the final exam so I can better prepare for it. The sooner you can make it, the better so that that way I can have more time to do/study it.
I would like a study guide. I would like it soon so that I can practice.
Yes. This will help me and many others in getting a good grade on the final and gives us more material to study. We would probably need it the week after STAAR.
I think it worked because you showed/explained to us which is sort of how I need to learn in order to understand stuff. Yes.
I think that the teaching was good, although it was very fast-paced. I would like a final study guide.
I liked the structure, but sometimes I wish we had spent more time on a topic. I would like a Final Study Guide, and maybe 2-3 weeks before the exam.
Your teaching strategies are good and well thought out. It would be very helpful if you could create a Final Study Guide to prepare! If you could give us a study guide maybe a week or so before the week of the final it would be amazing!
Your teaching strategies are good. I would like you to create a final study guide for us. I think the best time might be a week or two after STAAR.
I think that a final study guide would be a great idea but I would make it maybe 12-15 pages so it’s not too long, but we can still review adequately. I think that your teaching strategy is very good and I can learn a lot from it. You get all the attention in the room and make class exciting.
I think a study guide would be useful and I think maybe you could make them a little shorter.
I think that your teaching strategies and philosophy have allowed me to be very well prepared for high school and college. You also push me to be a better student and you have allowed me to be more organized throughout my work. I would like you to create a Final Study Guide because it will allow me to easily review all that we have learned throughout the entire year without having to go through all of the notes individually. It will also allow me to see which topics I need to review for the Final Exam. I would need it sometime within the next week or two to practice for the Final Exam.
Yes, 2 weeks before the test.
Yes, I feel like that would be perfect as we would be able study the whole course.
I would like you to create a final study guide to help my classmates and I get a good grade on the STAAR. I would say very soon so we have a while to work on it.
I think those strategies were very helpful for me, especially for trig ratios. I think that having a final study guide will give me one last chance to fix my study habits, end my bad student habits (especially in math) once and for all, and end the school year on a high note.
I like your teaching strategies and philosophy. I would really like a Final Study Guide. I need it to practice when I am reviewing for the Final Exam the week before.
I think you have a good philosophy and teaching strategy that makes sure that students improve. It really helps that you let us do corrections and extra credit. Although it is very good for extra practice, I think it would be better to have a little less homework, so we have time to study on our own. I would like you to create an extra credit Final Study Guide with everything needed for the Final soon. Of course, you should take your time, but I think I would want around two weeks or more to finish it and study it.
I believe your teaching strategies worked well and yes please, and personally i would say don’t make it optional because knowing myself i will not get it done if it is, and i need to get it done. it would be nice to have it as soon as possible.
I enjoy your teaching strategies and notes, because it is very easy to follow along with what you are teaching. I would like to create a Study Guide, but for it to be optional and extra credit. I would like to have it as soon as you are done to have more time to study and finish the packet.
Yes, at least 2 weeks before the test.
I appreciate your dedication to challenging our minds. Yes please. In the following weeks, but not too close to the Final.
I think you could’ve gone a little slower and be more understanding when i don’t understand. I don’t need the study guide.
Your teaching method is effective in my opinion tbh. I like the way you kept moving around the classroom to make sure we were on task and offered help. I also like how you demonstrated each example on the board and ask us to do the same. This class actually makes me learn because if I did not, I would fall behind. Yes. The study guide would be helpful if you give us 3 weeks ahead.
8. We are going to have CA#5 for the 6th six weeks. I am thinking about replacing CA#5 with a project. Let me know your thoughts.
9. What are your plans for this summer?
This summer I plan to continue working on math, so I do not forget the material. The high school I am going to has summer homework that I have to complete, so I will also be completing that.
I am planning on doing light studying in preparation for algebra 2 and other subjects.

My plan this summer is to mostly relax but also see what will be covered for my next course of math and other topics.
I am going to be a CIT with my friends at a camp, and I will be going on a lot of vacations.
Regarding Algebra, I plan on studying Algebra and refreshing my skills throughout the summer. I plan on keeping my skills by utilizing IXL and Khan Academy as well as maybe other sources. I also plan on studying some geometry prior to the year because of curiosity and to be ahead. Regarding studying, Carnegie provided us summer assignments to complete during the summer. Other than that, I plan on visiting my family in Istanbul.
I'm not sure if my family has plans for a trip, but we might. I will also study some Algebra 2 for next year, as I've heard it's a difficult class.
I plan to work ahead in order to be ready for my classes at Carnegie in the fall, and I will get into a routine of exercise in order to prepare for Cross Country season and keep healthy.
My plan for this summer is to start studying ahead for Algebra 2 next year in high school. I feel studying and learning ahead of time will help me comprehend more next year.
Nothing really. I live with dad and he works every day.
I’m going to summer camp.
My plan is to do some practice when I have time so I don't forget everything, however I don't think I will actually have that much free time this summer to practice.
To relax but to also prepare myself for high school next yeah.
To study for Algebra 2.
I'm probably going to visit my grandparents (if the borders are open).
My plan for this summer is to have fun.
To review previous Algebra concepts and look into basic Algebra 2 concepts.
I want to look over the algebra topics I didn't understand or missed on the test before I begin the new year.
To study Algebra 2 and go on vacation.
