Dear students,

Welcome to my website. When I was your age, I won numerous gold medals in various Math Olympiad competitions for students in Viet Nam. Math has become my favorite subject since I was in middle school. I have always had a passion and can spend hours working on mathematics. The problem-solving and love I had for the subject inspired me to become a teacher to work with young, bright minds with whom I can share my excitement for mathematics. That said, I'm thrilled to bring my passion and expertise to the other side of the desk. You are such potential students with whom I will work this school year. We are going to spend a lot of time strengthening our math knowledge, skills, and abilities so that you reach your fullest potential and aspirations and become a super-sharp student as well as a self-directed lifelong learner.

In the best classroom environment, I'd like to show you different methods and tricks to help you approach solutions correctly and effectively and encourage you to think creatively to solve difficult problems. The more strategies and approaches you're exposed to, the deeper your conceptual understanding of the topic becomes.

By the way, I'd like to introduce to you a series of challenging questions appearing in the most popular exams, such as the ISEE, SAT, and Math Olympiad on my YouTube channel. I will also show you tricks and suggested solutions for your reference. If you are preparing for those challenging exams and interested in exploring problems, you may give you a try. The more problems you attempt, the better your grades will be.

I have nothing but this advice for you to succeed in learning math:

"Studying notes seriously and doing your homework consistently can always help obtain achievements."

Studying notes always help activate your prior knowledge while doing your homework improves your final grade and promotes academic achievements. Successful completion of the AP exam at a perfect score is just one of the several indicators that represents a high level of achievement. Please note that my Summer Math Packet ranging from Algebra to Calculus could prepares you well for a challenging school year ahead.

As you may know, dedication, perseverance, commitment, resilience, and diligence are just five qualities that will lead you to the pinnacle of success.

Please be mindful that:

"If you are failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail."

My goal for my students is to develop a strong foundation in mathematics that empowers them with essential problem-solving skills, logical reasoning abilities, and the confidence to apply mathematical concepts in various contexts. By fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles and their real-world applications, I aim to equip my students with the tools they need to succeed academically and thrive in their future endeavors, regardless of their chosen career paths.

I believe you all can be successful with patience, dedication, and passion from me as a teacher. I am not doubtful that the partnership with students and families will make this school year successful. I look forward to seeing your success

Canvas

Canvas, the district’s digital platform, provides for virtual communication and collaboration, secure communication between teachers and students.

Teacher uses: This is the only platform where I post notes and assignments throughout this school year. That said, all notes and assignments will be posted on Canvas ahead to help you prepare for upcoming classes.

Student Uses: If you missed a class, it is your responsibility  to ensure that you will find all notes and assignments on Canvas to study, complete, and turn them in on time. None of assignments will be turned in via Canvas. Instead, they all must be turned in in person at the start of the next class. The due date of the assignments will be notified in class, via Remind, and your planner.

To access the Canvas, use your school email to log into https://www.houstonisd.org/ Canvas (in the upper left corner). You will find all notes, assignments, and materials under the MODULES.

Delta Math (Mandatory)
