Project Guidelines
Dear students!
As we reach the midpoint/endpoint of our geometry course, it's time to put our knowledge and skills to the test with a hands-on project! The "Geometry Explorations" MOY/EOY Project is designed to challenge you, encourage critical thinking, and showcase your understanding of key geometry concepts we've covered so far.
Project Overview
In this project, you will embark on a journey of geometry exploration where you'll apply your knowledge to real-world situations. The project is divided into several stages, each focusing on different aspects of geometry. Here's a brief overview:
Real-World Applications: Choose a real-world scenario or problem that interests you. It could be related to finance, science, technology, or any field where geometry plays a crucial role.
Problem Formulation: Clearly define the problem you've chosen and identify the variables involved. Express the problem mathematically using equations or inequalities.
Solving Equations: Solve the mathematical expressions you've formulated. Show all your steps and explain the reasoning behind your solutions.
Graphical Representation: Create graphical representations of your solutions using graphs or charts. Interpret the meaning of key points on the graphs in the context of your chosen scenario.
Reflection and Analysis: Reflect on the process of solving the problem. Discuss the significance of your findings and any challenges you encountered. Consider alternative approaches and discuss their implications.
Project Guidelines
Individual: You have to work on this project individually.
Presentation: Prepare a presentation to share your findings with the class. Use visuals, charts, and graphs to enhance your presentation.
Submission: Submit a written report detailing your problem, solution process, and reflections. Include any supporting materials such as graphs or tables.
