It is important to maintain a regular exercise routine. For some of us we like to push our bodies and see how far we can go. My oil choice is a either pre-mix: lemongrass, marjoram, frankincense (equal parts) or lemongrass & peppermint both in a small atomizer with water and a tiny bit of FCO to limit flash off. These are great for muscle fast twitch repair and pretty much eliminate next-day soreness for me.

I mostly use Grapefruit or any citrus oil for hydration (in water), peppermint or breathe to calm blood pressure/heart rate after a hiit style workout and yet still keep alertness up, then at the end of the day Basil to help adrenal glands. For yoga style workouts, mostly past tense, serenity or balance blends. For any soreness, yes - deep blue!!
