Below are pictures from my time presenting at Mohawk Trail Regional School to approximately 60 students total. I completed two, 45-minute sessions educating students on various water safety components. This was an incredible experience where I was challenged to change the delivery of this material to a different age group. We had a ton of fun and students who won playing trivia received free sunglasses and sunscreen for their summer adventures!

The following documents are from a collaborative presentation completed by myself and a fellow OTD peer, Jessica Dressel. Jessica completed her DEx working with the Connecticut Alliance of Foster and Adoptive Families (CAFAF). Together we gave a zoom presentation highlighting not only the importance of water safety education, but its relevance to trauma-informed care.Â
Please see below for our flyer, presentation, and the zoom recording. Additionally, below is a button to visit the CAFAF website for more information.
