Develop Collaborative Skills Through Play

Our project draws inspiration from Vygotsky's findings regarding the favorable impact of play-based learning on child development. It centers on enhancing students' self-awareness, self-regulation, and collaborative abilities through collective play experiences. The project underscores the significance of a secure, non-competitive setting that permits students to learn responsibly while engaging with one another. Operating as a social experiment, it encourages students to collaborate on topics linked to school initiatives, promoting teamwork to attain shared objectives. A notable feature of our project is its divergence from conventional curricula, as it offers an unstructured method that establishes an instinctive learning environment, nurturing students' development.

TERM 4

Project Work@SKPS

Our school has shared on various platforms how we leveraged the Interdisciplinary Project Work (IPW) to further engage the middle block students in authentic learning.

Our school’s main objective for infusing project work into the curriculum is to create learning experiences where students can apply knowledge gained in one subject to another. This enables the students to deepen their learning, as they make connections between ideas and concepts across different subjects.

Through this workshop, we are tapping on the input given by our previous audiences. We are sharing how Project Work can be a whole-school approach by including the IPW plan for our lower block levels.
