Commitment Time Frame: 12 months

Committee Description: The membership committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining membership. The membership chair and committee is the face of ASLA's customer service. 

Committee Expectations: 

• Committee members may be asked to work on date-specific tasks or events such as Alabama Library Expo in October, conferences, etc.

• Maintain the face of customer service to ASLA members through registration tables, membership recruitment opportunities, and other duties as assigned by the membership chair.

• Helps to efficiently check-in registrants at conferences, maintains sign-in/check-in evidence for ASLA, and helps to make sure members feel welcomed and appreciated.

• Helps the membership chair with ideas and events to recruit and retain membership.

• Maintains spreadsheet of all Alabama school librarians
