Yellowhammer Book Awards
The Yellowhammer Book Awards were created to highlight young adult literature titles that have literary merit, instructional application, and teen appeal. The award has been expanded and now includes pictures books, middle grade, and young adult. The award winners are selected by a committee Alabama school librarians.

Top 10 Picture Book Slide Deck
Students will be able to cast their votes for their favorite book beginning March 1, 2024. The books are recommended for grades K-3, but older students are more than welcome to participate. Students are required to read 7 out of the 10 books before they can vote. Voting details will be sent out in February.
