A recent study conducted by Associate Professor Ahamad Tarmizi Azizan and his team, The Perceptions of Artists, Educators, Lecturers, Art Teachers, Students, Industry, Stakeholders, and The Public on The Use of Artificial Intelligence in The Artwork Creation between June 3, 2023, and June 26, 2023, provides intriguing insights into the perceptions, attitudes, and readiness of respondents, particularly Art Teachers, Educators, and Artists, across different countries and demographic categories. The study highlights variations in the age groups of respondents from different countries, shedding light on the diverse perspectives that contribute to the discourse. Most notably, respondents from Malaysia and Indonesia make up a significant portion of the study, revealing a strong regional interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence and art. Educational backgrounds and roles within the art domain also play a crucial role in shaping perceptions. While most respondents are students, art teachers, and educators, it's worth noting the absence of certain categories like designers and artists in the data. This could suggest the need for targeted efforts to engage a wider range of professionals in discussions about AI's impact on art. The gender composition of respondents also varies, indicating potential cultural nuances that may influence attitudes toward AI in art. While the study reveals a generally positive perception of AI's role in artistic creation, there are also concerns voiced about ethical implications and the preservation of human uniqueness in the creative process.
