HOW TO SETUP THE NETGEARARLO PRO CAMERA

To install the Netgear Arlo Pro camera follow these steps:

Firstly, we need to insert the batteries into the Arlo Pro camera.

  • For that, press and gently pull the latch to open the battery compartment.

  • Place the batteries in the camera compartment facing the Arlo logo on the battery upwards.

  • Then close the door.

Secondly, sync the camera to the Arlo base station.

Make sure the distance between the Arlo Pro camera and Arlo base station is no more than 3 feet .i.e. 100 centimeters.

Now press the sync button present on the Arlo base station for about 2 seconds and then release the sync button. Do not press the sync button on the Arlo base station for too long.

Within 10 minutes LED at the bottom of the USB will blink amber that indicates that the sync button is pressed too long and the sync process is blocked.

To sync the Arlo Pro camera to Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station, press the sync button present on the top and release within 2 seconds.

  • To confirm the sync status, wait for the LED to blink green.

  • Now press the sync button on the top of the Arlo Pro camera and release it within 2 seconds.

  • To confirm the sync status a blue LED present on the Arlo Pro camera will rapidly blink.

  • Rather than blinking blue, if the LED blink amber that indicates that the sync is unsuccessful.

  • Repeat the sync steps and wait for the blue confirmation LED to blink.

  • Search for the camera LED present on the Arlo base station, if it turns solid green that means that the sync process is completed.

  • Want to add more Arlo Pro camera to the Arlo base station, Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station add each camera separately.

  • Make sure that the sync process should get over within 1 minute, otherwise press the button on the top of the base station and repeat the process again.

Troubleshooting tips, if Arlo Pro does not sync with the base station

If your Arlo Pro does not detect the Arlo base station then use these tips to troubleshoot the issue:

Make sure the distance between the Arlo Pro camera and the Arlo base station is within 3 feet .i.e. 100 centimeters at the time of sync process.

  • Examine the battery status, as a low battery may prevent the Arlo Pro camera to sync with the Arlo base station. To know whether the battery is low look at the battery icon on the Arlo app, if the icon is amber that means the battery is low.

  • Search for the base station, the Arlo base status might be deactivated which prevents the Arlo Pro camera to sync with the Arlo base station. For that activate the Arlo base station. Launch the Arlo app on the electronic device, go on Settings > My Device.

  • Select the base station and change the device settings.
