गुरुकुल

A gurukul or gurukulam (Sanskrit: गुरुकुल, Romanized: gurukula) is a type of education system in ancient India with shishya ('students' or 'disciples') living near or with the guru, in the same house.

History Of Gurukul
We visited the Gurukul and there was something beyond our previous knowledge.
It was established by Swami Shradha Ananad , in 1916. When he observed rapid urbanization, and the influence of western culture on the present youth.
It was not just an ordinary Gurukul, but it played an important role in providing a safe zone to the Indian freedom fighters during the war of Independence against the colonist.

This gurukul is filled with mysterious and fabulous stories. The famous freedom fighters we heard of also stayed here for a long time. The Britishers came for a check and they were sent back with the books of Sanskrit as a gift full of knowledge. Swami Shradhanand Ji was a follower of Sanskrit and Ayurveda and devoted his whole life to it. He was not only a founder but also a teacher to many personalities. He was also a good and pure human being who believed in the path of truth. This gurukul consists of two tunnels that were directly connected to Agra and Delhi for any emergency escape situation.
