These images depict historical Sanskrit scriptures, they helped us understand Sanskrit's vast and deep History
Sanskrit has existed since millennials back, with its logical, grammatical, ordered structure being given appreciation since the beginning of time, so why not take a deep dive into Sanskrit and its history?
Despite its vast vocabulary, rich grammar and vocabulary, many historical scriptures and texts are now translated from Sanskrit, of the essential resource they serve to study, earlier forms of human literacy expression, changes in culture with the flow of time, and how this ancient language had minor changes with expanding kingdoms and the flourishing trade. Sanskrit originated as Vedic Sanskrit, Sanskrit's old form as found in Vedas (You can view them in Downloads). Its extensive and detailed documentation of cultures, traditions, science, literature has proved to be useful in several studies in modern times. Panini, standardized Sannskrit's grammar in about 500 bc marking the start of the classical Sanskrit era. it is also among the first three languages to ever be documented.
Sanskrit has been used as a philosophical language among the scientists, teachers, administrators, etc from millennials back. Sanskrit, one of the oldest Indo-European languages with substantial records, is thought to have been the common language of the greater Indian Subcontinent in historical times, though its usage is declining nowadays.
We can see how the echos of its influence reach far beyond
The evolution of the Sanskrit language indicates that it arose from the earlier Vedic form. The corpus of Sanskrit language and literature includes a rich life of poetry and drama( just like the classical dance in OUR EFFORTS page )are, as well as scientific, technical, philosophical. Sanskrit is still widely used as a ceremonial language in sacred rituals today, in the form of hymns and mantras. Sanskrit pronunciation is still used in some traditional establishments accros India(like the gurukul we visited)
The development of the Sanskrit language from the Rig Veda to the time of Panini (fl. 4th century B.C.E.) can be found in various Hindu texts such as the Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, Atharva Veda, Brahmanas, and Upanishads. Sanskrit has evolved. It evolved from a Vedic shape to a Classical shape to its current usage. During this time, the language’s status and standing, its use for sanctified resolves, and the significance attached to its appropriate accessory and diction all served as effective conformist forces rejecting conventional techniques of linguistic metamorphosis. Around the mid-first millennium B.C.E., Sanskrit began its journey from a primary language to the second language of learning, signaling the end of the Classical period. Sanskrit has evolved but it's the wide purpose of its texts being a meeting spot for different spheres remains the same
Sanskrit evolved along with spreading it's influenced in a wide spectrum, making its History fun and intriguing topic
