Get Over It are hanging out in the Garage. Viola seems to be looking around at everyone and then staring at herself in a small pocket mirror.
Viola: I'm uh... Going to head out.
Triplet: Where are you off to? Might join you, the snack supply is running low.
Viola: I think I'm going to get my hair dyed. Or cut. Or some new clothes or something.
Fortissimo: Wait, what? Are we finally going to do girl stuff? Count me in, oh my god, I've been waiting so long for this day.
Piano: Count me in too! I want to see what you go for!
Fortissimo: So what colour are you going to go for for your hair Viola?
Fortissimo is practically dragging a flustered Viola out of the room, talking about different styles and ideas with Piano walking behind them.
Triplet: Yeah, I think I'm going to skip this one. All the girly stuff isn't really my thing.
Forte: To be expected of you!
He gives a small smile to Triplet. Triplet blushes.
Forte: What about you Crotchet, no drastic hair dye changes coming your way?
Crotchet: Not for me, I'm fine the way I am. Besides all that hair dye is going to lead me to losing hair just as fast as you are Forte.
Crotchet gives a small cheeky smile.
Forte: Hey, the shaved sides are a CHOICE okay. I used to have too much hair to deal with, it's just simpler.
Crotchet: Yeah, and now you have too much hair gel to deal with trying to make that mohawk look straight everyday.
Forte has a large smile on his face - happy that Crotchet is being open and joking around.
Triplet: I like your hair Forte, it has a lot of uh.... personality to it.
Forte: See Crotchet, the wild hair is how you get the girls.
Triplet blushes, but no one seems to notice.
Crotchet: Forte, you cant even tell when someone's giving you a fake compliment, how are you able to tell when someone likes you?
As Crotchet and Forte continue their back and forth, the Piano, Viola and Fortissimo are walking into town.
Fortissimo: As much as I'm excited to go on a girls outing for once, I've gotta ask, what brought this on?
Viola: Well... it's a few reasons. I've kinda felt that I don't really fit in, with the aesthetics of the band that is. Everyone is so colourful and I just feel bland in comparison.
Piano: I mean Crotchet hasn't changed anything? He seems fine. You don't have to change just to match the vibes or whatever.
Viola: It's not just that Piano honey. I feel like this hair is an indication of the old me I suppose. The string player who was forced to do it. The rich girl who was told to keep her blonde flowing hair for appearances. That isn't me anymore. New me, new hair.
Fortissimo: Sure, it's a good idea. It'll help you get some confidence back too, it always helps me when I get my hair redyed. It's a shame to lose your natural blonde though, it looks really nice, especially in the sun. And the differences between us is really what makes the band don't you think?
Viola: I was thinking about that too. Without my past, I wouldn't be here right now. It doesn't seem right to get rid of that completely. So I do want to keep the blonde in some way. But also I'm the opposite person to who I was then. It's difficult to make a decision.
Piano: I don't think there's an opposite to blonde as a colour?
Viola and Fortissimo laugh.
Piano: No, but seriously. She giggles. You do have to pick a colour.
Fortissimo: I mean your blonde leans super light. I guess the closest natural colour would be white, meaning the opposite is black? I wouldnt really know how you'd integrate that into your natural blonde though, the differences seem really sharp.
Viola: That sound perfect to me. I don't want to integrate it, the differences between me now and me then are really sharp too. It makes sense to me.
Piano: Well lets at least make it look pretty on the eyes.
Fortissimo: Oh, that's a guarantee. We aren't letting our girl come out of that salon without looking her best, isnt that right Piano?
Piano: Absolutely!
She seems serious, with a glint in her eye, like she is determined to make Viola come out looking cute.
Viola: Well aren't I lucky I have such great stylists.
She ruffles Pianos hair much to her enjoyment and takes Fortissimos arm. At first Fortissimo seems surprised about this, but she seems to become resigned to it.
Piano: If you wanted to make it look sharp, instead of an actual design what if you just go for some random black splotches in random places?
Viola: Like dalmatian spots?
Piano: I mean that's not the way that I would describe it, but sure, like that!
Fortissimo: How WOULD you describe it Piano?
Piano: I dunno, just like spots I guess? You know the ink blots that psychologists put on paper and ask what you see?
Fortissimo and Viola laugh.
Fortissimo: That is an overly complex way to just describe some sort of abstract painting.
Viola: Whatever it's described as, I like it. Lets get it done.
After a while the girls make it back to the garage. Piano and Fortissimo walk in first, with some sort of idea in mind.
Piano: Introducing... drumroll please
Piano looks over at Triplet who seems happy to play along. She walks over to her drumkit with a grin and starts a drumroll, much to Pianos joy.
Fortissimo: Violas new hair!
Viola walks in, shy at first but gaining confidence, modelling her new hair in a couple of poses.
Crotchet: Whoa.
Forte: Look, I don't know what I expected but I did NOT expect that.
Fortissimo: What? Are you saying it doesn't look good?
Forte: No, no, no! It looks great - I just thought it'd be something more... stylistic, simpler?
Fortissimo: Oh you really, really need to be more careful with your wording or else one day you're going to get slapped or have your heart broken.
Forte: WHAT DID I EVEN SAY WRONG?
Fortissimo starts walking slowly towards Forte and Forte starts backing up. Fortissimo runs towards him with her arms outstretched like she want to choke him and Forte runs away. They do a couple of laps around the garage with everyone else laughing at the situation until Fortissimo runs out of steam.
Forte: I always had more stamina than you sis!
Fortissimo: huffing lucky. Ill get him next time for you Viola.
Viola: laughing It's fine, it's fine, I promise.
Triplet: Well I think it looks great. It's very... new you. Like it suits your current vibes. It's chic.
Viola: Thank you Triplet, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.
Crotchet seems to be caught staring at Viola. As the conversation moves on - Viola brings out her pocket mirror and smiles.
