WHITE STORK Ciconia ciconia AE.
Passage migrant from continental Europe and birds from the UK reintroduction scheme. Species went ex BBRC in 1983. Records were assessed by the WBRC up until the 31st December 2022 at which point it was removed from the WBRC list as it was considered impossible to distinguish genuine wilds due to the ever-expanding UK re-introduced population.

7). 2025, 8th May: Holyhead - 1, photographed on top of a telegraph pole in the Ucheldre area. Photographed. (Anglesey Bird News).
6). 2025, 7th April: Cors Ddyga - 1, circled high over the reserve before moving off to the north. Photographed. Relocated near the Alaw estuary on 7th & 8th, seen in flight over Holyhead mountain on 10th and then over Four-mile Bridge on 11th. Confirmed that it was not ringed. (Anglesey Bird News).

3). 2001, 24th April – 19th May: Various sites - (S&RBiW2001 p3). Note: Ken Croft advises that this bird flew over Soldier's Point on the 24th April 2001 and up to circle over Holyhead Mountain before drifting east.
2). 1988, 30th March - 9th April: Gaerwen - 1. (S&RBiW2019 p16). Note: Ken Croft advises that this bird flew over South Stack on 4th April before drifting back east across the island.
