Additional notes:
Micromyrtus delicata is a shrub growing to 1m high, with non-pendulous branchlets. The bark is grey, closely adhering, persistent and not fibrous or flaky. The stem flanges are grey or brown, flat, not winged, not warty and the margins are entire. The leaves are opposite, linear to narrowly inversely-ovate in shape, 1.7-3.9mm long by 0.4-0.8mm wide and appear hollowed out, hairless, with prominent oil glands and margins entire or minutely toothed. The leaf stalks are absent or up to 0.3mm long.
The flowers are 2.5-3mm across and occur singly on a stalk 0.5-0.9mm long, from where the leaf stalk joins the stem. The cup-shaped enlargement at the base of the flower tube is inversely-conical, straight, 1-1.5mm long, with 5 shallow ribs branching towards the outer end. The flowers have 5 petals that are inversely-ovate or elliptical in shape, 0.9-1.2mm long by 0.9-1mm wide, keeled, thick, white or yellowish in colour and pink near the centre, with the margins entire and oil glands prominent on the outer surface. The fruits and seeds not seen. (Bean 1997)
