Adult Professional Development
Developed from 2020–2022 for 2U, Inc. in collaboration with curriculum development colleagues Lorri Haslup and Alexia Power.
Course Overview
The 18-week Technology Project Management Boot Camp takes a multidisciplinary approach to develop in-demand technical, leadership, and business management skills. The boot camp is divided into three modules: traditional, agile, and hybrid project management. Each module contains four weeks of content and a two-week project.
Learning goals
Explain each stage of the traditional project management lifecycle and create all documentation required to drive a project plan from initiation to closure.
Elicit requirements from stakeholders, model them as use cases and use them as input for executing the four phases of the testing life cycle.
Apply agile principles to the working environment to conduct release, capacity, and velocity planning.
Apply your new skills and knowledge to the Professional Scrum Master™ Level I exam. If you already have a scrum certification, you’ll have an opportunity to pursue Scrum.org certifications in Professional Scrum Master™ II (PSM II) or Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I).
Utilize modern software like Jira to build project plans and reports.
Organizational Skills eLearning Modules
For this eLearning development project, I worked with a client, Raleigh Water, to analyze their training needs, agree on a design approach, and develop, test, and deliver three, approximately ten-minute, learning modules created in Adobe Captivate.
