You can add fold arounds at the end of the tap to hold the transistor in place during assembly.

Materials:
Sheet metal (copper, aluminum)
Heat shrink tubing
Thermal paste (optional)
Tools:
Nibbler/tin snips
Files/sandpaper
Instructions:
Cut & shape metal: Make a heatsink with a tab for attachment. Consider adding notches for stability.
Flatten metal (if needed): Use vice or file to ensure good transistor contact.
Assemble: Cut heat shrink tubing, apply thermal paste to the transistor (optional), attach transistor to tab, fit shrink tubing.
Use a heat source to shrink the tubing,
Tip: Heat from transistor will further tighten the assembly.
