Artifact description: This is a practice worksheet I created during student teaching. It was when I started taking over planning on my own and seeked out the help of another math teacher
Standard connection: This document connects to the Illinois teaching standard 8, collaborative relationships because I collaborated with another educator to come up with this practice so that students would practice the skills they learned.
Reflection: I spend Sunday collaborating with a general education teacher to go over ideas and our plans. At the beginning of my student teaching I really needed a lot of guidance and reassurance that I was doing the right thing. Ms. Henriquez made me realize and reflect on the importance of collaborating with other teachers, she gave me lots of suggestion and ideas that helped me through my journey of student teaching.
Artifact description: This artifact is a calendar my cooperating teacher and I shared. This calendar was used to collaborate and plan what we are going to teach. Everything we taught was linked and shared in this document
Standard connection: This artifact fits the Illinois standard 8 collaborative relationships because my cooperating teacher and I spend lots of time collaborating, storming ideas, and sharing what we taught worked and didn't.
Reflection: Student teaching has been my biggest collaboration yet. I spend so much time with my cooperating teacher that we build a bond. We had a really good collaboration because I felt very supportive throughout this journey.
