AMA AI SIG Awards – Call for Nominations
The AMA AI SIG welcomes applications for the following awards, which will be presented at the 2026 Winter AMA Educators Conference (February 13-15, Madrid, Spain). Award details and application procedures are outlined below.
The deadline for applications is Friday, November 21, 2025.
Nominees for all awards should be members of the AMA AI SIG at the time of application. Members of the SIG leadership team are not eligible for awards during their tenure.
Please submit nominations to ama.aisig@gmail.com with the subject line of the email mentioning the relevant award (2026 Best Dissertation Proposal Award, 2026 Best Dissertation Paper Award, or 2026 Best Paper Award).
Award Details and Application Procedures
2026 Best Dissertation Proposal Award
This award recognizes outstanding doctoral students conducting innovative research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and marketing. Eligible nominees are students in their third or fourth year of a Ph.D. program at any accredited university worldwide. Nominations (including self-nominations) must include a research proposal (maximum 10 pages), a current CV, and a one-page cover letter highlighting the proposal’s key strengths.
2026 Best Dissertation Paper Award
This award recognizes the most innovative, theoretically insightful, and managerially relevant published study at the intersection of artificial intelligence and marketing that originates from a Ph.D. thesis. Eligible papers must have been accepted for publication between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2025, and must have been accepted within five years of the thesis’s final approval. In cases of multiple authorship, nomination signifies that the Ph.D. recipient made the primary contribution to the publication. Nominations (including self-nominations) must include a PDF of the published paper, and a one-page cover letter highlighting the paper’s key strengths.
2026 Best Paper Award
This award recognizes the most innovative, theoretically insightful, and managerially relevant published study at the intersection of artificial intelligence and marketing. Eligible papers must have been accepted for publication between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2025. Nominations (including self-nominations) must include a PDF of the published paper, and a one-page cover letter highlighting the paper’s key strengths.
