2026 Rocked!
1… 2… 3 years of Alpinehearts success! This year, new friends met with festival veterans to create another great event of community and climbing. We were lucky to reunite in our lovely home base of Göscheneralp. At the heart of our festival ground, under a bigger and better main tent, we celebrated and huddled amidst the rain for wonderful films and conversations, and to connect with one another. From the feedback received, the organising team is glad that the festival managed to be a place of acceptance, growth and empowerment for FLINTA+ (women and queer) climbers. With each edition of the festival, we’ve been trying our best to cultivate a safe space that makes the outdoors more accessible to marginalised identities. With your presence and energy, our hearts have been filled!
As an entirely voluntary initiative, none of this would have been possible without the help of the many wonderful humans who have lent their time, talents and much more to the cause. Warm meals, morning coffee, thoughtful workshops, cheerful music and inspiring connections - we deeply appreciate the shared effort <3
We are honoured to be welcomed by the residents of Göscheneralp, Gemeinde Göschenen, and the canton of Uri. Specifically, we cherish the warmth given to us by our favourite farmer: Kari! We have fallen in love with his cute dog (Malu) and curious cows. We also thank Seraina, owner of the gasthaus, for her encouraging vision and key help in managing local concerns, and all the gasthaus employees who have supported us in invaluable ways. We love and miss the delicious milk, fresh cheese and daily butter from Christian and his family, who run Geissenparadies. Finally, Dan, our favourite local mountain guide, who helped us in bolting new routes in and near the festival grounds. Next, we are incredibly grateful for all the lovely volunteers who really exemplified the community values of the event. Setting up, cleaning, cooking, serving food and drinks, and countless other tasks - we honestly couldn’t have done it without you and your immaculate vibes!
The festival would not have been possible without all the workshop instructors, talk presenters, activity organisers, and performers who filled our days with fun, thoughtful and exciting activities.
