Who are we?

We are Alpinehearts, a non-profit climbing organisation in the Alps for our climbing community of women & queer folks! We are running the first climbing festival of its kind in the Swiss Alps. With our festival, we want to celebrate and support women and queer folks, bringing the community together around all things Alpine, including trad climbing, sport climbing and bouldering. 

While representation of women & LGBTQ+ in gym climbing has greatly improved over the years, representation in the outdoors, especially in alpine environments, is still far behind. Did you know that less than 0.5% of all mountain guides in Switzerland are women? This is one of the statistics we are so passionate about changing. 

With this festival, we want to create a safe and inclusive space for people of all genders to connect, find joy, and grow in confidence over climbing.
