The real story comes on Sunday against Princeton. As mentioned before it was a 1-0 game in favor of the Tigers. What was not mentioned was the Tigers 21 shots on goal, and Post's 19 saves in the game. Post even made Sports Center's Top 10 plays.

Both teams are not full members of the NEC yet, with Merrimack becoming a full member next year and Stonehill just joining the conference this year. It was expected to be a tight match, and tight it was. The game remained scoreless until the 4th quarter of the game. Stonehill got on the board first, 25 seconds into the 4th, after a goal off of Raegan Hickey. Merrimack answered with less than 3 minutes left with a goal from Abby Allen to bring the game to overtime. In overtime, Merrimack outshot Stonehill 7-4, although Stonehill led in penalty corners 3-2. It was still not enough time for either team to win, so the game was determined by shootouts. Most players have had a coach tell them that the 2 (or 4) minutes after a goal are the most important because there is a high chance that there will be another goal within those two minutes. After Lehigh converted on a penalty corner, Bucknell took the “fight for four” mentality to heart and immediately took the ball to their circle, got two shots, and then their first corner of the game. They converted and quickly closed the game to 2-1. With 2:30 left in the game and the goalkeeper pulled, the Bison forced another penalty corner to result in the game-tying goal to bring it into overtime. The Bison did ultimately fall in OT.

Longwood moved to 1-3 in the MAC after the win against Miami. After each team scored in the first quarter of the game, 65 minutes were not enough for either team to get another goal. Miami led in shots 16-11 and corner 9-4, although Longwood led with shots on goal 7-5. After an even first round of shootouts, the game went to sudden-death shootouts.
