General information

As a social media ambassador you will be helping Alice's Positive Boxes by helping us to maintain a supportive and kind community. This will be done via our social media (currently Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok). Tasks in this role will include:

  • Engaging with the community

  • Answering FAQs

  • Being a supportive face

  • Raising awareness of physical, emotional and mental health disabilities


Disclaimer: To be involved in our support message system you will need to be at least 16 years old. This is because some of the topics talked about can be quite sensitive and triggering.

What will the role involve?

  • Creating content to be uploaded to our Instagram, Facebook or Tiktok pages

  • Help us to respond to commonly asked questions by directing people to the correct information and resources

  • Respond to any comments asking for help and support in a kind and polite way

  • Provide resources to support platforms

  • Respond to our supportive messages program by sending out supportive messages to people struggling to ensure that they have the resources and someone to touch base with and vent to

  • You will be a frequent and kind face in the community through your engagement

  • You will promote the project on your own social media, particularly when we are organising fundraisers

  • Being a peer supporter to those who are struggling

  • Set an example to the community of the type of behaviour and interactions we expect

  • Report any community issues as soon as possible

  • Help in our fundraising strategies

  • Join in video calls for team meetings

What will you gain from this?

  • After 3 months of volunteering, you can add it to your CV and we can act as a reference for when you apply for jobs

  • Training on key skills such as empathy, validation, active listening and mental health awareness

  • Access to resources and recommended training sites to support your role
