General information

As a project ambassador, you will be helping us to source and make items to put into the free care boxes and free positive letters. This is a work from home role, but you will need to have access to your local post office. We would prefer applicants who are able to cover the cost of postage themselves, however if you cannot, you will still be considered and arrangements can be made.

What will the role involve?

  • You will receive items in which you will be able to create items to be used in our free care boxes

  • You will send back the completed items at a time that is convenient for you

  • You will be a frequent and kind face in the community through your engagement

  • You will promote the project on your own social media pages, especially when we are running fundraises

  • You will set an example to the community of the type of behaviour we expect

  • Report any community issues as soon as possible

  • Help in our fundraising strategies

  • Join in video calls for team meetings

What will you gain from this?

  • Valuable volunteering experience

  • After 3 months of volunteering, you can add it to your CV and we can act as a reference for when you apply for jobs

  • Access to a team only group chat on whatsapp (with prompt replies from Alice and other members of the team) and your own personalised email address

  • Your name and photo added to the "meet the team" page

  • Training on key skills such as empathy, validation, active listening and mental health awareness

  • Access to resources and recommended training sites to support your role
