Where we are today

Since beginning this project in July 2020, Alice has sent out over 2000 packages and 180 letters. She has been trained by Bucks MIND to be a “mental health peer mentor”. Here, she is able to offer advice and guidance to younger students who may be having issues with mental health, or may just need some general help and advice.

In addition to this, Alice has also completed the zero suicide alliance (ZSA) step up module in suicide awareness, the ZSA gateway module in suicide awareness, and the ZSA suicide awareness training. This training has enabled her to understand the importance of ending the stigma around suicide, as well as how to recognise someone who may be feeling suicidal, and how to talk to someone who is feeling suicidal.

It was designed to harness the influence and enthusiasm of the individual swans and inspire and encourage others to us their voices.
