Teacher Interview Paper on Danielson Framework
Rationale: I learned about the Danielson Framework and clusters. After I created questions that I would ask a teacher who is familiar with the Danielson framework. I then took my questions and interviewed a 3rd/4th grade teacher who is very experienced and knows the Danielson framework very well. I took what I learned from my interview and wrote a three page paper discussing the framework.
Standard connection: As I learned about the Danielson framework and heard from someone who experienced this type of evaluation first hand. I learned the importance of evaluation and why teachers should be evaluated. Teachers always have room to grow and I think that is what the Danielson framework provides. For example one performance indicator presented by my flip project is 3D which is "understands when and how to adjust plans based on outcome date, as well as student needs, goals, and responses" As a teacher the important part of being evaluated with the Danielson framework is using the feed back that was given and improve your teaching. This also relates to professionalism because teachers should know how to be professional and be evaluated in order to become a better teacher.
Self Evaluation: This paper helped me prepare for my future as a teacher. I feel more prepared and confident with the Danielson framework now that I am more familiar with it. I think overall I know more about this framework and why it is a useful tool to be used in order to evaluate teachers.
Rationale: This was a professional development I completed in my Education 380 class where I watched a webinar based on social and Emotional learning.
