Since I can recall the beginning of time, I have been passionate about numbers (that passion came later to be known as Mathematics), places (found out it was called Geography later on) and the sky (scientists prefer to call it Cosmology or Astrophysics). I have studied German since Kindergarten, and graduated the German high school "Nikolaus Lenau" in Timisoara, in 2006.
I then continued with a 4-year bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering, which I finished in 2010 at the Faculty of Automation and Computers, at the Politehnica University of Timisoara. Soon I realized I actually enjoy studying and continued with a 2-year master in Software Engineering, which was successfully finished in 2012.
During this time I have grown fond of game development and graphics engines, cryptography, software applications in medicine, social network analysis, and understanding people in general. Apart from science, I enjoy practicing a variety of sports like tennis, cycling, swimming, skiing and running fast. I like to stay in touch with the latest news & trends in IT.
I worked for Continental Automotive Romania in the field of software development. In 2010, I reached the world finals at the Microsoft Imagine Cup where my team was ranked in the top 6. I will always recommend trying the latter. My favorite programming languages are Java and C#, and I enjoy developing Android apps.
In February 2016 I finished my PhD in the field of Social Networks Analysis, which has been my top scientific interest since 2012, but I also follow the progress in the fields of Networks-on-Chips (NoC), Gamification and Social Psychology.
One of the things I have grown very fond of is teaching to students. Apart from the fact that I get to do fun stuff like algorithms analysis, computer organizations, mobile app development, I have to say I do love my students, and I will most likely teach for...ever.
I currently hold a position as Associate Professor with the Department of Computer and Information Technology, Politehnica University Timișoara (UPT).
