When the Alexandria Historical Society was first organized in 1974, 229 people registered as Charter Members including Alexandria’s Mayor Charles Beatley and the curators of both Gadsby’s Tavern Museum and the Lee-Fendall House. One of our 50th anniversary goals is to match or exceed the number of members AHS had in our founding year. To help reach our goal we have made some adjustments to our membership system primarily establishing our Golden Charter Members category.

4. Patron Membership - $100 (Family Membership)
- Special Expansion: Now includes your entire family! It is an excellent opportunity to involve your kids in our historic community.
5. Corporate Sponsorship - $150 (Covers all employees)
- Current Benefits: No change. It is an excellent choice for businesses to support and engage with our community with a Special Corporate Sponsorship Recognition page on the AHS website.
6. Student Membership - $10
- Current Benefits: No change. Continue to enjoy membership at a student-friendly rate.
7. Non-profit Membership - Free
- Current Benefits: No change. We continue to support non-profit engagement and collaboration. Simply email us and tell us where to send our notices.
