Food and Me
===============================================
After the full online course due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I started living by myself in Akita. Before starting, I didn’t think I would have trouble living by myself, but housework was more difficult than I had expected. The photo shows a meat sauce pasta I made.
===============================================
I thought living myself was not so difficult
I thought I could eat whatever I wanted
I thought I would enjoy housework
Because I knew how to buy groceries
Because I knew how to cook
Because I knew how to clean
But I didn’t know how to choose vegetables
But I didn’t know soy sauce was that salty
But I didn’t know housework took too much time
I wandered around supermarket for three hours, grabbing my phone
I wondered why I couldn’t imagine how it would taste like, nibbling at soup
I wondered why there were too many kinds of laundry supplies
I missed my mother’s dish
I missed the scent of laundry dried outside
I couldn’t bear the simple taste of my cooking, so I called my mother
To ask how to cook my favorite dishes
One of them was meat sauce pasta
It took 3 hours for me to cook and eat
It was not stylish
But it reminded me of my mother’s cooking
Finally, I realized how great my mother was

Last time I went to Ayera, the curry restaurant near AIU before going to studying abroad The photo shows curry I ate in Ayera.
=========================Fluffy snow was falling
From the bluck sky
Shaking the white snow on eyelash by blinking
Walking toward you, creating the crunchy sound of snow
Opening the door, feeling a welcoming atmosphere as usual with the smell of spice
Enjoying the taste of spice
And chewy naan
Sad to notice I can’t taste it for the next more than one year
You have given me a lot of precious memory here
You connected me and my friends
Thank you
I will be back
========================= I went to Walt Disney World Florida and entered Be Our Guest Restaurant, which was really expensive and famous restaurant in the Walt Disney World. Although I went there alone, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. In addition, the time traveling alone make time to reflect what I had experienced during studying. The photo shows dinner I ate at the restaurant.
==========================
I knew I did not match the level of the restaurant
So, I was braved to be a person worth using it
I’m not alone
Everyone can dream
========================= I had job meetings, but I could not get job offers. My sisters took me to the restaurant to encourage me. The photo shows the stake I ate at the restaurant. =========================Ironed Recruiting Suit
Neatly styled hair
Beautiful makeup
I would look the most precise in my life
But my heart has been damaged like never before.
Iron-like expressions of interviewers
Cold sweat flowing my neck
Brithing Eyes of Peers who succeeded in job hunting
I couldn't be more exhausted.
At that time, my sister took me to a restaurant.
The steak couldn't have looked any brighter.
May of 4th year of university

I studied at Starbucks. The photo showed Christmas drink in the Starbucks.
=============================================
The orangish lights cast a soft light on a space. Cars are running outside the store in the snowy weather. The store has some Christmas music playing inside. I’m sitting in the middle of the long table. Someone is typing on their PC at the same table, and another takes notes. At another table, people are enjoying chatting with their friends. While guests enjoy their time in the store, employers keep getting orders and making drinks. The sweetness of the drink made me realize Christmas is coming.
New encounters and Me
The Painfully cold air made her nose red like Rudolph. The temperature was totally different from her hometown. She had never experienced such a cold and dry air. Everything, including people house, cars and sky is unfamiliar to her. “No,” she noticed. “I’m a stranger in this place.
She just arrived at her dormitory of her studying-abroad university, and decided to get lunch at a restaurant near the dormitory. She totally depended on iPhone map to reach the restaurant, but the path seemd too long to her, because everything was new to her.
Finally she found the shop. As the name of restaurant, “Roots Burger Bar” expressed, the outside of the shop was really like American Bar, which she had seen in movies. She grabbed the door knob and timidly opened the door. Compared to what she had imagined, the inside of the shop was in relaxed atmosphere. She didn’t know how to contact employers, but the employer noticed her soon and took her to a table by the window. Asked to choose drink, she ordered Pepsi. Soon, the employer brought her drink and welcome snack Pop corn. She was frozen for a minute, not because it was cold, but because the cup of drink was too big. The cup seemed taller than her height of head. Anyway, she ordered a humberger plate, which seemed to be a normal choice.
She freezed longer when her dish was brought. The plate was full of french fries and humbergar was bigger than Japanese ones. She bit it, and found the taste was good. However, she felt full in the middle of the plate. She didn’t want to leave food, so she decided to keep eating. As her speed of eating became slow, the chatting voice from other table caught her attention. Although she could not understand what they were talking about, they enjoyed the conversations. She looked her table and suddenly, the emptiness of her table took her attention. She put a knife and folk, and looked down. Suddenly, she felt cold. She took her iPhone and try to call her family and noticed Japan was now midnight. She wondered whether she could enjoy living here.
When I crept on you, you ran away in a moment
Without giving me a glance
When I paid no attention, you came closer
Jumping on my shoulder
When I gave you water and food, you didn't touch plates
When I tried to hold you, you kicked me
But I noticed the water dwindled.
But I noticed you were on my stomach when I woke up
You wouldn't know how your eating makes me relieved
You wouldn't know how happy I feel, finding your face in the morning
I can't control you
That's why I'm addicted to you

Writing and Me
Thick grey clouds covered the small sky enclosed by snobbish high buildings. Walking past the group of people with refined looks chatting about tonight’s plan, Mana left her workplace quick-footed, making a clicking sound with black heels. When she went out of the building, she noticed fluffy snow was falling. She envied fluffy and beautiful snows that are free from messed up human relationships; snows would never meet too strict bosses or cold colleagues.
At 6:00 p.m., Mana opened a stylish glass door and entered the shop, Starbucks. As she stepped into the shop, the smell of coffee wrapped around her, comforting her messed mind. As she opened the door, she directly got in line, checking her cell phone.At the cashier, a young male employee whom she had often seen for several months waited for her. Mana ordered Citrus tea and a Cafe latte as usual, one for her and the other for her friend. Compared to the first time she saw the employee, he rang up the order fast and fluently repeated the order. At the end of her order, he said, "Thank you for always choosing us." She replied with a slight smile. She received the drinks and sat by the window.
Taking her cup from the table, she noticed there was a message only on her cup, saying, “Keep warm, take care of yourself!” She could not help smiling and wrapped her palm and fingers around the cup. She sipped a glass of tea and checked LINE; she receivednew messages. She sighed lightly and opened the half-read book. She waited for her friend, Sana, to finish her office work as usual in the Starbucks near the station. It was her routine since Sana and Mana came to Tokyo to work last spring. Although Sana and Mana work at different companies, only Sana and Mana came to Tokyo from their hometown university among their friends. So, They decided to keep in touch and meet every Friday. Mana could not drink coffee due to its bitterness, but her friend was really into it, so it was a silent understanding between Mana and Sana to rest at Starbucks after working every Friday.
When she finished reading several pages of her book, the smartphone announced receiving a new message. In the message, Sana said, "Mana, I'm so sorry! I will have dinner with my co-worker today! I'm really sorry..." Mana grasped her cell phone tightly and replied, "Okay, enjoy your dinner!" She waited for a few seconds, but the message was not marked read. She sat deeply and took a glance at the Cafe latte. The drink which had lost the potential owner, looked faded. Feeling sympathy toward the drink, Mana lifted the Caffe latte though she din’t like coffee. She sipped the drink, but the drink had already gotten cold. Although it contained a lot of sugar and milk, she strongly felt the bitterness of the coffee.
