Reoma MIURA is a poet who loves music
and sings with his guitar.
Cicada in the silence
I used to be here for a long time
The emptiness is following me
Who was I with
I used to have something to cherish
The emptiness is filling me
Remnants won't be a clue for it
Now I try to remember
I just find the white-noised silence
Fading, my consciousness
Now I try to remember
You just sing in the bright haze of morning
Faded to a tiny outline
Somewhere far away
A cicada is still dying
In this solitude
A Voiceless Departure
Who gave the scariest tenderness to me
Now seeing me and breathing
Barely, I started speaking
I had something glad today!
I found what I want to do in the future!
Look at me, I’m so grown up! Aren’t I?
He nods, surely
"Is it painful?" I ask and he nods
"Can we meet again?" He shakes his head
“Will you die?”
He nods, silently
I touch his hand
A tiny pressure on my palm
Warm, and this is our last
I lean toward him as if I float
Voiceless friction from his throat
Silent note
But it shapes “I love you”
Grandpa,
What do you see on the white ceiling
Please, illustrate it with our
Full of journeys
The Bygone Night
Through the slightly opened curtains,
Moonlight reflecting white shines on your right cheek.
Past and future slip down there,
And become scars.
We were scared of the morning.
You wiped your tears with a Kleenex and threw it away.
I chewed it, swallowed it, vomited it.
You closed the night-colored curtains and fell asleep.
I couldn't stab your chest
Nor believe myself.
I could not see your face.
I just held you
And gazed at the darkness over your shoulder.
Transparent
If my body were transparent
You would see me
A heart, pulsing for loving you
Under a night and rain umbrella
If my words were visible like a breath on a winter morning
You would see me
Whispering a love for you
Under a harsh river of time destructing me
If I were an innocent child
You would see me
Wondering between love and hesitation you
And there would be no complex calculation
Transparent night sky
I gaze at it absently
With a small expectation of finding a star
