Using Generative AI to Assist Large-Scale Review of the ICAP Theory Literature

During this interactive presentation, we will share how we have used Generative AI to assist in large-scale reviews of the ICAP theory literature. Specifically, we will (1) explain our iterative process for crafting prompts to achieve accurate thematic classification with scholarly rigor, and (2) demonstrate our Generative AI bot that automates the review of full-text PDFs in bulk and generates custom-formatted outputs. We welcome feedback and suggestions in our challenge areas, such as how to gain access to research databases to further automate the workflow.
