In the National Student Survey, the University of Lincoln was ranked seventh in the UK for overall student satisfaction and in the top 20 for student experience in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. The university received a Gold Award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework, the highest quality possible, and was also named the Modern University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2021.

The University has approximately 16,000 students spread across four academic colleges, with courses in the arts, technology, business, and social sciences available at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.


The University of Lincoln has received a number of awards for its approach to working with employers, particularly for its collaboration with the global engineering company Siemens in creating the Lincoln School of Engineering, the UK's first dedicated facility of its kind in more than 20 years.

Throughout their studies, students have the support of a personal tutor who can provide mentoring, advice, and inspiration to help them get the most out of their university experience. To meet the needs of the student body, the university offers a variety of counselling and consultation programmes for both personal and academic matters.

The Student Support Centre, located in the heart of the Brayford Pool Campus, brings together several major services, providing a single point of contact for students to connect with the appropriate team. Specialist teams at the University offer free, impartial, and confidential advice and information on a variety of issues, including tuition payments, housing assistance, visas, and legal advice.

The university's campus is at the centre of it all. Located on the picturesque waterfront of Brayford Pool, it provides almost everything you'll need for modern student-centered culture, either on campus or a short walk away. A short walk from campus, there are a number of restaurants, cafes, and bars overlooking the marina area, while the city's main street and side streets offer a mix of independent and specialty shops as well as national brands and chains. Living Accommodation

The university guarantees housing to new undergraduate students who confirm Lincoln as their first choice before the deadline. The majority of student housing at the university is either on the Brayford Pool Campus or a short distance away, right in the heart of Lincoln. The Student Village houses the University's on-campus housing and consists of two purpose-built waterfront complexes: Lincoln Courts and Cygnet Wharf. The University also operates a number of residence halls and shared living options for new and continuing students who prefer to live off-campus. The Accommodation Services team can assist students in finding housing that meets their needs and budgets.

Transport

Because the university's main campus is located in the city centre, students do not require a car for transportation. They can simply ride or walk to campus. Cyclists have access to on-campus bike shops, and the city's main train and bus stations are less than a half mile away. The campus is only a five-minute walk from Lincoln's bustling main street.

Lincoln and London have frequent direct rail services, with King's Cross Station being less than two hours away. Lincoln is also well connected to nearby major cities such as Nottingham, Sheffield, and Hull, as well as regional airports.
