Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Deborah Uzodimma is the First Lady of Imo State, Nigeria. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2011, Thereafter, she finished from the Nigeria Law School.
She began her career as a lawyer in various law firms being a Junior Associate for Emeka Etiaba (SAN)-Etiaba Chambers & Co. , Rickey Tarfa (SAN) & Co. and Chris Uche (SAN) & Co.
Until her emergence as the First Lady of Imo State she has been a dutiful mother of four lovely children. Since the inauguration of her Husband, His. Excellency. Dist. Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma, as Governor of Imo State, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma has showcased an impeccable profile of Mother to all.
She is a personification of genuine affection whose bright example is befitting as the leading lady of Imo State.
Mrs. Uzodimma possesses an innate philanthropic spirit that is evident in her numerous activities and charitable donations to many organizations catering specifically to widows, children and physically challenged individuals. She has also contributed her time and resources to many motherless babies homes in and around Imo State. She is a Social, Gender and Humanitarian advocate, she is also the Founder of GoodHope Flourish Foundation, an NGO which aims to improve the standard of living of the people of Imo State, especially the indigent, through quality Education, Accessible Health Care, Reduction of Gender Based Violence and Maternal/Infant Mortality, Enlightenment on Girl-Child Development, Engaging people with Special needs, as well as Persons Living with Disabilities(PLWD), reducing unemployment to its barest minimum, among others.
GoodHope Flourish Foundation’s advocacy is geared towards social, educational and economic empowerment by way of capacity-building to foster ownership among all individuals in our state, and by extension, Nigeria as a whole. This would positively impact the society, as accountability mechanisms would be put in place for adequate checks and balances.
The opportunity to bring succour, hope and happiness to uplift the welfare of people is a responsibility that she takes very seriously and one that gives her immense joy and fulfilment.
