1) how the particular artifact is connected to the standard element and 2) where your proficiency lies related to the standard element, why you chose the artifact to represent your proficiency, include examples of evidence from this semester that demonstrates your growth in this area and ideas about how to improve on this standard.
My first artifact is my reflection from Joseph, and I's Midway Mug Critique, which is the first lesson we taught. I heavily reflected on the way we taught this lesson because I feel like I did badly. It's no excuse, but we didn't know our teacher was going to have us teach this day. I feel like we were underprepared, and I was sick. I think we responded as best we could under the circumstances. It was a great learning experience, though. I took away that if you are co-teaching a lesson, you have to be on the same page as much as possible because we can't read each other's minds, so it was hard to deliver instruction to the students smoothly. I think reflecting on this experience makes me a better future teacher.
2. My second artifact is my professional dispositions form. I think this reflects the standard and element perfectly because it's a reflection of my personal professionalism. This form embodies my responsiveness to complex environments as listed in it. For example in the form under initiative and dependability it states demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness. I checked that box because in complex situations I can think on my feet for a solution.
