Standard 3: Plans and delivers effective instruction and creates an environment that facilitates learning for students.
• Element c: Teachers integrate and utilize appropriate available technology to engage students in authentic learning experiences.
My first artifact is my Making Thinking Visible presentation about the strategy Think-Puzzle-Explore. I planned out this lesson and slide show to effectively teach my peers about the strategy. I had visuals, repetition of the topic, a do-it-together example, and then a do on your own. I feel like all of these can address and create an environment for all types of learners, whether they're visual learners or needing that repetition to grasp a concept. I think using a slide show was the best way to deliver and engage the students in this lesson. I think I'm very proficient in this standard and element as you can see with my slideshow.
2. My second artifact is my Grading for equity group presentation for similar reasons listed above. Again we had visuals in this presentation but specifically on the slides I presented we put the graphs from the book while I explained them. I think having visuals and making a presentation interactive (with all of our group discussions) really facilitates students learning because they're more engaged which connects to the standard.
