1) how the particular artifact is connected to the standard element and 2) where your proficiency lies related to the standard element, why you chose the artifact to represent your proficiency, include examples of evidence from this semester that demonstrates your growth in this area and ideas about how to improve on this standard.
My first artifact is my lesson plan from the second lesson I taught. I chose this lesson to teach because I would say I'm very proficient and have even mastered the art of linocut block prints. I was super confident that I could demonstrate my knowledge of this project and the steps it would take. I have carved many lino blocks throughout my school years.
2. My second artifact is my interdisciplinary presentation slides, which I created for two projects centered around traditional Chinese painting. The element talks about knowing the special characteristics of the disciplines being taught, and I could confidently and proficiently demonstrate so. I have used these techniques before, so it would have been easy to show what I was talking about if I had taught this lesson in real life.
