Limestone Sealing Coleorton

Sealing Limestone Tiles In Coleorton

After sealing this limestone floor, I gave my client limestone aftercare advice

We also discussed sealing options for the limestone floor.

Our CeeTech sealer is more durable than topical or impregnating sealers and will last for many years.

My client had a spare tiles. So I sealed a spare tile using CeeTech sealer, and let it cure overnight.

CeeTech sealer is very colour enhancing . In this case, the CeeTech sealer made the sample tile darker than the floor tiles.

My client preferred to seal the tiles with a topical sealer to give a finihs similar to the rest of the floor.

Topical sealers are common for tiles such as Limestone, Terracotta, Sandstone and Slate.

Before I applied the top coat, I applied a generous amount of impregnating sealing sealer.

I have found that an impregnating sealer provides additional protection as it penetrates the stone's pores.

The topical sealer acts as a sacrificial wear layer, protecting the surface of the tiles from abrasive wear.

A topical sealer also gives better protection against acid spills compared to an impregnating sealer.

My approach is always a "belt and braces" approach, giving the best job I can.

The results were a huge success for my client.
