Article 1: (Name)

This association's name was the Asia Association for Global Studies, hereinafter called this association. 

Article 2: (Objectives)

The purpose of this association was to conduct research on globalization in Asia and other world regions.

Article 3: 

This association conducted the following activities to achieve the goal specified in the previous article. 

-Annual meetings 

-International conferences

-Seminars

-Publications of newsletters and journals

-Related activities to achieve the association's goal

Article 4 (Location)

This association was located at 

143-11 Hirato-Ooaza

Hanno-shi, Saitama-ken

357-0211 JAPAN

Article 5: (Membership)

Any individual who was interested in the objectives of Article 2 could be a member. 

This association's memberships were regular membership and corporate membership. 

Article 6 (Membership Fee and Accounting): 

Members should pay the membership fee. Regular membership fees were 3,000 yen/year, while corporate membership fees were 20,000 yen/year.

Changes in the amount were determined by annual meetings. 

This association's fiscal year began in April 1 and ended March 31 of the following year. 

Article 7 (Board Members)

The Board of Directors consisted of the President, the Vice-President, the Treasurer, and the Director. The President represented and oversaw the operations of the association. The Vice-President supported the president and acted as President when the President was absent. The Treasurer performed financial duties of the association. The Director acted in an advisory capacity concerning the operation of the association. 

Article 8 (Terms of board members)

Board members were reelected after 5 years of appointment. 

Article 9 (Amendment)

This constitution could be amended by votes by fifty percent of the attending members at the annual meeting. 

This constitution was effective from April 1, 2007, to December 2020.
