The Defense Department’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program makes it easier for military spouses to reach their career goals with free access to online courses, skills training and professional development. The SECO program is providing military spouses with one year of free access to Udemy, an online learning platform that can help you stay competitive in today’s ever-changing workforce.
Operation Little Learners
Operation Little Learners is an interactive education program for parents and their children (ages 18 months through 5 years old) to enhance child development. Parents learn to be the primary educator of their child with tools to enhance child development and early learning, as well as parent-child bonding.
This program operates at Building 2-2411 Rodney Trail, behind the B N B Thrift Store and the Fort Bragg Area Gifts.
Registration hasn't opened yet but will update page accordingly as soon as the opportunity presents itself. There will be a Winter Session from January 2026 – March 2026 and a Spring Session from April 2026 – June 2026.
Provides a maximum tuition benefit of $4,000 with an annual fiscal year cap of $2,000 to assist eligible military spouses who need professional credentials to meet their career goals. Spouses of active duty sponsors in pay grades E-1 to E-9, W-1 to W-3, and O-1 to O-3 who have successfully completed high school and have the ability to request tuition assistance while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders are eligible.
Fayetteville Technical Community College offers English as a Second Language (ESL) for adult English language learners who want to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. They have beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes. You can study in a classroom with a teacher, online, or both. All of ESL classes are free. Occupational License Transfer and Reimbursement
If you are or have a military spouse with an occupation that requires a state-specific license, you can be reimbursed up to $1,000 for associated costs when transferring a license or certification due to relocations or PCS moves that cross U.S. state lines.
