By taking this course MAED 5511, I have been exposed to a lot of teaching software, many of which I never knew before, such as Miro, shiny app and Desmos. 🌠I am grateful to Dr. Ku for introducing and teaching us how to effectively utilize these tools, as well as for the collaborative group work that allowed us to apply them practically in our teaching.
The assessment of this course is mainly in the form of presentations, and through the two presentations, I not only became more familiar with Desmos, geogebra and shiny app, but also explored new ways of teaching the topics of graphical transformations and hypothesis testing. The presentations have improved my ability to be more confident and fluent than I was before, and I am not as nervous as I was at the beginning.
During the presentations, I received valuable feedback from both the instructor and other groups. 🌟Their insightful suggestions helped me identify areas for improvement and refine my teaching strategies.In the second presentation, Dr.Ku use a new software named Padlet discussion board, which provided us a platform for sending our qustions and comments according to other groups' presentations more efficiently. Incorporating their comprehensive and constructive feedback will not only enhance my performance in this course, but also contribute to the development of my future teaching practices.🥰
I am grateful for the knowledge and practical experience gained through this course, as well as the guidance and support provided by Dr. Ku. 🥳The exposure to teaching software, collaborative group work, and the assessment methods employed in this course have undoubtedly enriched my teaching abilities and prepared me to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences for my future students.
