About Humans

Essential Beliefs are essential - must haves. In order to be a follower of Jesus, you must believe these things. Essential Beliefs are what we believe about God and Jesus and God's rescue plan for us.

Essential Beliefs About Humans:

People are made in the image God.
People disobey God and that is called sin.
Our sin separates people from God.

The verses that tell us these beliefs are:

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Deuteronomy 6:5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows It very well.

Talk about how you are made in the image of God. What does that mean?
Sin is anything you think, say, or do that doesn't please God, and we are all sinners. Talk about a sin that you need to confess to God and ask forgiveness for.
God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to rescue us from our sin. What does this mean in your life?
Practice memorizing one of the verses above.
Pray and ask God to forgive you for your sins.
