Essential Beliefs are essential - must haves. In order to be a follower of Jesus, you must believe these things. Essential Beliefs are what we believe about God and Jesus and God's rescue plan for us.
Essential Beliefs About Jesus:
Jesus is God.
Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross for our sins.
He rose from the dead after three days, ascended Into heaven, and is one day coming back.
Jesus is our rescuer.
The verses that tell us these beliefs are:
1 John 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Titus 3:4-5 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
