Where and when is the best time and place for you to pray?

  A love triangle is usually associated with conflict, but there is one love triangle that can bring harmony, strength, and lasting joy: the triangle between God, husband, and wife. Human love is good, but it is limited. We get tired, hurt, disappointed and we have the tendency to be selfish. This is why it will be beautiful if a couple draws from the love of Christ, because they receive the grace to love beyond their feelings. Jesus teaches us that love is not merely an emotion; it is a decision to forgive, sacrifice, and serve, again and again. 

The secret of a strong marriage is not simply trying harder to love each other. It is found in allowing Christ to transform each person. Christ becomes the ultimate source of the love that is shared between the spouses. A husband who seeks Christ learns to love his wife like Christ loves the Church. A wife who seeks Christ learns to love with patience, grace, and surrender. The couple’s journey upward toward Jesus naturally brings them closer together. 

“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

Go Forth

Establish a common prayer time as a couple. 

Decide to learn together: Read a book, Listen to a podcast or watch a Christian film.

Ending prayer:  Lord Jesus, Help us to draw closer to You each day, knowing that the closer we come to Your heart, the closer we become to one another. Heal our hurts, strengthen our commitment, and remind us that our marriage is not only a gift but also a mission. We want You to be the foundation of our relationship, guiding our words, our choices, and our love.

Go on Mission

Seek for opportunities to serve in MFC and/ or LCSC. MFC members 3 years and up are encouraged to go on mission in your own area or province. This can be done as a couple, with your household, or with your family. #FamiliesOnMission
