What do you hope for the society today?

The year 2025 marks a Jubilee Year, a sacred time proclaimed by the Universal Church every 25 years, inviting the faithful to embark on a journey of renewal, reconciliation, and spiritual growth. It is a time to go on pilgrimage, seek God’s mercy, extend forgiveness, and rekindle our commitment to the faith. 

God used our community to open our eyes to see and feel God’s mercy and generosity. He blessed our relationships as couples, families, and communities. We understand the value of the gift of Faith, Family, and Life. We now treasure this gift and acknowledge that it comes from God’s goodness.

God also used our community to exhort us to share our blessings with others. In a worship song, we declare, “So blessed I can’t contain it. So much I have to give it away”. As MFC, we committed ourselves to the task of sharing God’s goodness and blessings to the world. As said in our MFC Covenant shall be a witness to the world of God’s love. It is not meant to stay with us, but we are called to be missionary families.

This year, as we celebrate the jubilee year of hope, let us be missionaries spreading hope to others. Our hope is not just a positive optimism, but He is our God who cares for us. Being missionaries of hope, what can we share with others? Let us share the gifts God has bestowed upon us:

Faith: Be a witness to the world of our Catholic faith.

o   Let us share with our families our love for the eucharist. Teach our children the importance of attending Sunday Mass and frequently receiving the sacraments. Let us not forget that the Eucharist is the highest form of worship.

o   Let us not be afraid to share our devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mary. We are part of the Army of Mary. Encourage our relatives to have a devotion to our Mother by teaching them to pray the rosary.

Family: Share the Gospel of the Family

o   “The future of humanity passes by the family” – St. John Paul II

o   Let us invite our families to join the community through our CLS. We know that the community is the tool of God for our renewal. Let them experience God’s power changing their lives.

o   Let the Word of God reside in our homes. Let us make LBS part of our family time. Sharing God’s Word among us makes it a source of hope to others.

Life: Be a pro-life advocate

o   The Gospel of Life needs to be proclaimed to everyone. Let us share with others the beauty of marriage. Encourage our friends in cohabiting relationships to get married in the Church.

o   Protect the life of the unborn by being vocal about the horrors of abortion.

o   Help the young to appreciate the design of God for sexuality by sharing with them chastity formation. Share our formation to the nearest school or youth ministry in the parish.

These are concrete steps we can take to share our hope with the world. We are blessed beyond bounds in our life. It is time to answer God’s call to be missionary families. Let us serve God as a family. Let us tell the world of our hope in God through faith, family, and life.

Invite your friends and family members to a Christ in Life Seminar. Ask the Holy Spirit to be your guide as you evangelize.

Go on Mission

Seek for opportunities to service in MFC and/ or LCSC. MFC members 3 years and up are encouraged to go on mission in your own area or province. This can be done as a couple, with your household, or with your family. #FamiliesOnMission
