Lisa Freelon is a Deputy Procurement Officer for the City of Chicago’s Department of Procurement Services (DPS).  In her capacity as Deputy Procurement Officer, Ms. Freelon serves as the liaison to the Aldermen, advocacy agencies, local chambers of commerce, intergovernmental units, and the business community, with a focus on building productive, strong, and positive relationships.  Additionally, Ms. Freelon engages and informs vendors on DPS’s programs and initiatives and provides guidance on the certification program and how to do business with the City.

Ms. Freelon has been with the City of Chicago for over 26 years in a variety of roles. She previously served as a Senior Procurement Specialist for the Aviation Unit at DPS. In this capacity, she handled high profile projects such as unarmed security services, custodial services, and design services for O’Hare Global Terminal, O’Hare Global Terminal Concourse, and Satellite Concourses.
