California Community Colleges are redesigning their academic programs and support services to help more students achieve their career and college completion goals. They are also creating campus and regional communities to bolster their equity-minded efforts for ALL stakeholders on campus. Hear directly from Guided Pathways Regional Coordinators as they reflect and share key takeaways from colleges responding to student needs and redefining the "now" normal, two years into the pandemic.

Angelica Ibarra currently serves as one of two Guided Pathways Regional Coordinators for the Inland Empire/Desert region. Over her 20-year career in higher education, Angelica has had comprehensive leadership experience on engagement & retention initiatives ranging from working directly with students to campus-wide reforms. Most recently she directed the Latinx Student Center at Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to that, she served as assistant dean for institutional diversity at Harvey Mudd College. In these roles she worked directly with varied constituents on intervention strategies, she developed and lead multifaceted social justice education programs in all areas of intercultural competence, leadership, and student development. Angelica holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management from the University of Redlands. On a more personal note, as an ENFJ (Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeling, Judgement) Angelica takes great pride and joy in guiding others to achieve their personal potential. Angelica enjoys making do-it-yourself projects, watching Netflix movies, and playing board games with her husband and four sons.
