James Meier is the Director of Strong Workforce Strategic Communications and Marketing, working to market and promote career education programs for the 12 community colleges in the Inland Empire/Desert region. James has worked in community college communications and marketing in the Inland Empire and Desert region since 2017. Prior to that, he was an award-winning editor and reporter for two decades at multiple newspapers, including The Desert Sun, San Bernardino Sun, and Los Angeles Times. He's originally from Orange County, where he worked at Disneyland while earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal State Fullerton. He's currently working on his master's degree in strategic marketing.
