The major changes to the website structure are listed below
Since we started campaigning under the 180daysvisa free banner to make it easier to access France there have been two significant changes
the visa income requirements were made less onerous
the EHIC and GHIC are considered to be adequate medical insurance for those seeking a VLS-T (4-6 month) visa.
Both of these changes have made it easier to stay in France for an extended period without contravening the 90/180 rule.
The 180days team paused its efforts to bring about any bilateral arrangements or a simplified visa. and stopped planning any more correspondence. They keep things under review.
A new website 180daysinfrance was developed and the old-website was left in place but not updated
The crib-sheets were substantially updated in December - click here
A new section has been added which discusses how to maximise your time in France under the Schengen 90/180 day rule - click here
The team is aware that there has been some commentary in France about the adverse effect of the 90/180 day rule on the French economy. We will keep this under review.
The Income section was updated to reflect the changes in policy by the French Consulate in London. Click here
The layout of the website was reorganised
to bring the VLS-T visa and Appointment sections into the main menu
a reorganised Travel Information section; and
to move old sections that are no longer maintained into a new Archive section.
A new search page was added
Many page were subject to minor changes
Dummy pages were retained under the Travel-Info menu for VLS-T and Appointments so that former links are honoured
