I met somebody. She's a new medical, and she only speaks in sign language. At least, that's unless she has something important to say. Her name is Achyls Crowe. She's really nice to me, she gives me lots of headpats. I think she just does that, but everybody seems to think she has a thing for me. I'm not convinced. I like her though. She seems really sweet. She doesn't like D-Class, though. At all. She nearly crashed out on them, and I had to remove her from D-Block. That's to e expected though. Not many people have what it takes to endure the toll the D-Block.
The Duke showed up again today. At first he was fine. He just wanted a steak dinner, which Everest cooked for him. 049 got out during that, so we had to deal with that. 049 has been very aggressive as of late. He's gotten a lot smarter, too. It took us an hour to re-contain him because he just kept getting 049-2's. After the breach was handled, the Duke made his way to Medbay crossroads. He seemed to remember me then. He called me his best buddy, and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I've never been more scared before in my life. He offered to take me to the "Black Hollow". I obviously refused, but then he tried to take Achyls. I had to step between them. I don't know why I did that. I could've died if it was anyone else. I could've died regardless. I don't know why I wanted to protect her like that. Maybe I have a thing for her. Maybe it was just that I wanted to save my new friend. I don't know. But the fear of the Duke vanished in that moment. I got a stern talking to from Xi-8, but I would probably do it again if I was given the chance.
Anyhow, I'm gonna go now. There's a shit ton of stuff to do. I need to work on the new Vanguard Training document.
