SENIOR PHOTOS
In order to ensure that all seniors are able to have their photo taken for the yearbook and wall plaque regardless of financial status, Vallivue High School has an agreement with a contracted photography company to take ALL senior photos for publication. Only photos taken by the contracted photography company are accepted for the yearbook and wall plaque. Students wishing to have other photos taken to give to family & friends may do so at the studio of their choice.
Only professional photos will be placed in the yearbook for all students. Photos taken with masks, wigs, face drawings, prosthetics, or any additions may be removed from the yearbook based on Administrative discretion.
EMERGENCY PLAN
Vallivue High School has a written emergency plan in the unlikely event that students need to be sent home due to an emergency such as an earthquake, fire, severe weather, hostage crisis, etc. If an evacuation is necessary, parents/guardians will be notified via Infinite Campus alert system.
If students must be sent home, the regular route bus plan will be utilized. Those students driving cars will be released to go home immediately. Information of the emergency closure will be provided by the school district for use by the Infinite Campus alert system, television and radio stations.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION/FIRE DRILLS (See District Policy 514)
Each school building principal or designee will implement, schedule, and carry out evacuation or fire drills in compliance with the emergency plan.
Evacuation or fire drills are to be conducted at least once each month when school is in session.
DRIVER’S EDUCATION
Driver Education is offered several times during the school year. Six (6) weeks of classroom instruction is given in the morning before the regular school day begins. Driving is done after school, evenings, and possibly Saturdays on a rotating basis. The sign-up form link will be emailed out to parents when each session opens up for registration. Based on those sign-ups, the student will be emailed regarding status. The driver’s training calendar can be located on the school website under the Parents/Students tab.
VENDING MACHINES
Vending machines are located in several areas of the school. The school does not make change to purchase these products and is NOT responsible for lost money or product. NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE MEDIA CENTER, AUDITORIUM AND CLASSROOMS.
